Instantly feels smaller, the voiced protagonist breaks the immersion of the original, diary entries are cringy, change of voice actor for the PDA which I found annoying more than soothing, bugs from the get go, improperly mapped controls.

Not the worst game but the first one is so much better. Sequels should be a step forwards not back.
Missed the mark on what made the first one great. SBZ lacks that sense of lost exploration in a vast ocean through its narrative heavy NPCs and remarkably cramped underwater world. There is no discovering of anything, you are led from point A to point B. There is no sense of wonder, and frankly the NPCs are annoying.
Mediocre game, which when comparing to Subnautica, is a terrible game. Atmosphere completely off with all the stilted talking, fake noises of leviathans coming from no where in the beginning portion. Find an ion cube within 10 min, along with the blueprints for most of the buildings in the same place.
