----------------

All of the games can be started from one application, so you can jump between playing The First Encounter level to a Serious Sam 3 level and back without exiting the game. When listing game servers, servers playing TFE, TSE, SS3 – will all appear in the same list and you can vote map across games if you want. Oh, and owners of our VR games are able to play multiplayer together with their "flat" counterparts!
Since there are so many changes and exciting new features, we'll just go ahead a list them here as bullet points.

Feature scans:
- Proton/Linux: score 25; verdict: Minor Linux Issues; summary: The audit finds strong consensus that Serious Sam Fusion and its Serious Sam 2017 titles run natively on Linux and can launch with default Proton, with multiple users reporting excellent performance and official SteamOS/Linux support. Negative evidence is limited to beta-stage crash reports on Linux/Flatpak/Wayland and one isolated report of unplayability with local co-op/input issues. No evidence indicates anti-cheat, DRM, launcher blocking, or required Proton Experimental/GE workarounds. Overall Linux/Proton friction is low, with only minor platform-specific issues.
- Steam Deck: score 45; verdict: Tinkering Required; summary: The audit reveals a mixed Steam Deck experience for Serious Sam Fusion. Many users praise the native Linux/SteamOS support and smooth performance, but a notable segment reports stability issues on specific Linux configurations (Flatpak/Wayland) and controller input problems, including janky aiming and local co-op failures. The game is not officially Verified, indicating some friction. Overall, the experience is playable but requires awareness of potential configuration and input tweaks.

- Hardware Profile:
  - Summary: Across the returned Windows cohorts, lower-VRAM systems generally report playable performance with minor hiccups, while a high-VRAM report indicates instability and frequent crashes.
  - Sample size: 47 (7% coverage)
  - Audience skew: Review sample is mostly Windows-based.
  - Windows <8GB VRAM (positive, 24 reports): Players report the game runs well overall on lower-VRAM Windows systems, with minor performance hiccups noted.
  - Windows 16GB+ VRAM (negative, 6 reports): The available report describes frequent crashes and instability on this high-VRAM Windows cohort.
  - Caveats: 47 of 649 reviews expose hardware metadata.; Review sample is mostly Windows-based.
Feature extractions:
- Community Price:
  - Community fair range: $5.00 - $10.00
  - Reasoning: The only explicit price anchor is a recommendation to buy on sale for about $5. Another review calls the game cheap and fun, while a negative review complains about missing games and says it is not worth it, which pushes fair value down rather than up. Since $5 is framed as a sale price and no reviewer endorses a higher full price, the community fair base-game range is likely low, around $5-$10.
- Playtime Metrics:
  - Game completion: N/A
  - Story completion: 40.0h
  - Session length: 0.5h
  - Endgame: 2.0h
  - Reasoning: The Spanish review gives 40 hours to replay TFE and TSE, which are included in Fusion, so this supports a story-completion estimate of about 40 hours for those campaigns. The 30-minute comment about Serious Sam 3, a Fusion component, indicates sessions were limited to roughly 0.5 hours. The 2-hour last level of Serious Sam 3 suggests an endgame segment of about 2 hours. The 100-hour mods comment shows long-tail play but does not state a full completion time, so gameCompletion is left null.
- Time-to-fun:

- VR mode is taxing and unpolished (weight 0.28): The VR mode is physically demanding and not as polished as dedicated VR titles. It requires powerful hardware and can be uncomfortable even for VR veterans.

- Initially limited game availability (weight 0.08): At first, only The First Encounter was available, and the Second Encounter was added later. Currently, only The First Encounter is playable, which may limit early adopters.

Emotions:
- Disappointment (weight 0.24): Fusion was abandoned while still in beta, missing Serious Sam 2 and 4, and never received the updates or fixes needed to make it feel complete. It also lacks multiplayer functionality, features from the classics, and meaningful improvements over the separate releases, making it a poor definitive version for newcomers and veterans alike.
- Frustration (weight 0.24): Persistent beta status, unfixed bugs, crashes, and broken AI make the experience unreliable across all three titles. Repetitive waves, excessive enemy stacking, unfair difficulty spikes, and technical issues like missing hitboxes and lost quicksaves compound the irritation.
- Satisfaction (weight 0.15): Fusion combines three campaigns into one convenient launcher with improved graphics, excellent performance, and full Workshop support. It runs smoothly on Steam Deck and splitscreen, and its optimization and modding capabilities make it a worthwhile and definitive way to play Serious Sam.
- Enjoyment (weight 0.15): The core Serious Sam gameplay remains fast, loud, and satisfying, with huge enemy hordes and fun co-op or PvP modes. Replaying the series through Fusion, hunting for secrets, and experimenting with mods keeps the experience entertaining.

- Nostalgia (weight 0.06): Replaying these games revives childhood memories of local co-op, internet cafes, and watching family play. The series has remained largely unchanged over nearly two decades, allowing players to relive cherished moments.
- Annoyance (weight 0.05): Excessive enemy stacking, repeated re-releases, and technical quirks like microphone volume resets and neon glows over secrets are irritating. Bugs such as the SBC cannon issue and enemies spawning behind the player add to the annoyance.
- Hope (weight 0.04): Some players still hope Fusion will leave beta and receive future updates, including the integration of Serious Sam 2 and 4 with split-screen co-op. They look forward to Croteam finishing the project and supporting upcoming titles.
- Amusement (weight 0.04): The series' self-aware humor, absurd situations, and chaotic co-op moments provide plenty of laughs. From headless fiends screaming to physics glitches and silly Workshop mods, the game never takes itself too seriously.
- Anticipation (weight 0.04): Players are eager to replay classic campaigns, see the official release, and experience Serious Sam 4. They look forward to future innovations, modding freedom, and saving for hardware upgrades to fully enjoy the game.
- Joy (weight 0.04): Having all Serious Sam games in one place with mod support and the ability to play with friends brings happiness. Getting Fusion for free and replaying classics with improvements adds to the delight.
- Boredom (weight 0.04): Repetitive combat, monotonous Egyptian settings, and overly long last levels make the game feel stale over time. Large arenas with endless enemy waves and a lack of depth contribute to the tedium.
- Confusion (weight 0.04): It is unclear why the collection exists when individual games must still be bought separately, and how to switch between parts in the launcher is not obvious. The overlapping versions and omission of some titles create further bewilderment.
- Gratitude (weight 0.03): Players thank Croteam for providing free engine and content updates, and modders for fixing bugs and adding life to the game. The fusion project and features like split-screen and multi-monitor support are highly valued.

- Love (weight 0.03): The ancient Egypt setting, core gameplay, and mods like BFE Enhanced have captured players' hearts. Receiving the game for free and its high quality strengthen the affection for the series.
- Relief (weight 0.02): The game does not cause motion sickness unlike Serious Sam 3 and provides a relaxing way to unwind after a hard day. Despite the beta tag, the technical state is nearly perfect.
- Anger (weight 0.02): Inconsistent monsters and projectiles make higher difficulties almost unplayable, while endless enemy spam and poor controls add to the fury. A freeze during an arena fight leading to death is especially infuriating.}
