Info about Anywhere RPG:

Official game description:
**Play any character, in any world\***
Anywhere RPG is a real-time, top-down 2D sandbox RPG where an AI director acts as your personal game master. You don't pick from a menu of actions. You type whatever you want to do, like "pickpocket the merchant," "convince the guard I'm the king's cousin," or "attack the bandit." The AI decides whether it's plausible, rolls the dice, narrates what happens and changes the world to match. Nothing is scripted. Everything is generated and resolved live as you play.
Describe any setting, such as a medieval village, a haunted space station or a noir detective city, and the game builds an explorable world around it. You get regions, buildings, items, quests, and NPCs with their own personalities and daily routines.
* **Emergent gameplay**: AI-run events, quests that adapt to what you do, and survival stats that fit your setting.
* **Progression**: skills generated for your world, perk trees, active abilities and hotkeyed free-text macros.
* **Play your way**: endless sandbox, pause anytime, god-mode editor, and every AI prompt is moddable.
**About the optional subscription**
The game plays fully out of the box on its free AI service, with no setup and no extra cost. The free service will always be supported, and the subscription will never get in its way. If you want more, an optional monthly plan adds a larger AI memory, better text and image models, and more map generations per day.

  - Reasoning: The reviews report several total-playtime anecdotes, such as 7+ hours, about 5 hours, and almost 3 hours, but none describes completing the game, completing the story, or reaching endgame content. The 'two hours' line appears in an in-character conversation context rather than a clear report of a typical real play session, so it is not reliable enough for sessionLength. Therefore, all requested playtime metrics are left null.

Each point is assigned a weight that represents how often it is mentioned across all reviews.
What players like:
- Dynamic NPCs and world (weight 0.7): NPCs have generated names, personalities, routines, and quests, and they react to player actions and each other. The world feels alive with constant interactions.
- AI generates creative stories (weight 0.62): The AI produces interesting stories and situations, dynamically creates quests from player actions, and handles improvised dialogue and speech checks well.
- Fun and entertaining (weight 0.58): Many reviewers find the game good fun, solid, and entertaining for the time played, often laughing and having a blast.
- Flexible AI roleplaying experience (weight 0.52): Reviewers praise the game for allowing natural roleplaying, writing any action, and adapting to chosen roles. The AI Game Master drives the story like a tabletop RPG.
- Custom worlds and modding (weight 0.5): Players can create custom worlds from medieval villages to space stations, with editable AI prompts and support for custom AI models and APIs, enabling serious modding potential.
- God Mode and player freedom (weight 0.48): God Mode allows interfering with the world, and players can set themselves as godlike entities, summon creatures, transform characters, and pursue freeform lives.
- Unique skills and transformations (weight 0.47): Skills like mimic, flexible moves, and assassination support stealth, while transformations like turning the dean into a carrot or lich yield humorous NPC reactions.
- Excellent LLM integration (weight 0.37): The game is praised as an excellent use of LLMs in gaming, handling prompted information refreshingly and supporting local models without blocking immoral scenarios.
- AI handles complex mechanics (weight 0.34): The AI accounts for multiple factors like weather, size, and stats when resolving actions, and dynamically manages suspicion and disguise meters.
- Infinite possibilities (weight 0.34): The game offers nearly infinite possibilities and absolute freedom, allowing players to write their own adventure and rules.
- Refreshing new genre (weight 0.33): Reviewers describe the concept as a new genre of game, unusual and never seen before, comparable to D&D with AI.
- High potential but buggy (weight 0.29): Reviewers see a lot of potential and enjoy the game even in its current state, but expect improvements after bugs are fixed.
- Dynamic quest generation (weight 0.28): Quests develop in real time from player actions and AI-generated narratives, such as gathering followers or investigating theft.
- Responsive AI Game Master (weight 0.28): The AI GM follows player commands, handles out-of-character questions, and accounts for many factors when resolving actions.
- Death and spectate options (weight 0.26): After dying, players can choose to remain in the world and spectate, allowing the story to continue and enabling commands like revival.
- Character creation and progression (weight 0.2): Players can create their own character, skills, equipment, talent trees, and benefit from perk, skill, attribute, and level systems.
- Positive demo experience (weight 0.2): Reviewers enjoyed the demo and had a lot of fun playing it, indicating a strong first impression.
- AI-generated images for items (weight 0.1): AI-generated images for items and spells add a feeling of uniqueness to the game.

Common complaints:
- Censorship restricts creative freedom (weight 0.81): Multiple reviewers report heavy censorship, including sexual content, politics, and copyright, even with workarounds like Obsidian or paid subscriptions. The censorship conflicts with the game's play-anything promise.
- Map size and exploration limited (weight 0.56): The map is frequently described as tiny, claustrophobic, and sparsely populated, with poor exploration and cramped placement of locations and rooms. This is seen as a key limitation for a freedom-focused game.
- Quest generation and completion bugs (weight 0.48): Quests sometimes fail to generate or complete, with rewards unclear and objectives often not concrete. The AI may spawn different friends or forget relevant details, requiring OOC workarounds.
- Combat and enemy behavior weak (weight 0.42): Combat is described as abstract, weak, and needing serious rework, with balance issues and annoying continuous enemy spawns. There is no clear delineation of turns, making interactions feel blurred.
- Subscription and service limitations (weight 0.42): The free official AI service has context limits, and paid subscriptions are expensive and still heavily censored. Daily limits on world generation and scenario attempts are frustrating.
- Sprites and visuals feel generic (weight 0.41): Sprites are described as bad, generic, and often not matching 2D portraits or descriptions. Some modern-world models hurt immersion in non-modern scenarios.
- Game is shallow and incomplete (weight 0.41): The game is clearly early access with a strong system skeleton but needs far more mechanics. It feels shallow despite the AI use, and bugs still need to be ironed out.
- Scenario generation errors and token waste (weight 0.34): Custom scenario generation often fails with fetch errors or other issues, and failed attempts still consume limited generation tokens. Some reviewers cannot generate custom scenarios at all.
- World generation feels repetitive (weight 0.34): Without a workshop, players generate very similar worlds repeatedly. Location generation places areas in weird spots, like a Holo-Suite on a bridge, and crams different areas together.
- AI memory and consistency issues (weight 0.3): The AI forgets earlier events, contradicts prior details, and mentions conversations that never happened. It also fails to maintain the world's internal logic and prior events in long stories.
- Local AI setup is complex (weight 0.28): Setting up a local model requires LM Studio, model downloads, context tuning, and local server configuration. The quality depends on the chosen model and computer power, and some encounter errors with OpenAI.
- Voiceover and audio limitations (weight 0.23): Thai voiceover is not yet available, and voice presets do not match expectations, such as dwarfs sounding wrong. TTS voices may require manual assignment.
- Custom character support lacking (weight 0.2): The engine lacks a custom class for player-defined characters, and detailed character lore is sometimes ignored. The AI forces characters into static hardcoded fantasy archetypes.
- AI comprehension and adversarial behavior (weight 0.2): The AI suffers from poor reading comprehension and can seem adversarial at times. It may ignore detailed instructions or act unpredictably.
- Unclear action resolution mechanics (weight 0.2): It is not always clear why the system decided an action succeeded or failed. The mechanics feel blurred without clear turn delineation.
- World lacks dynamic growth (weight 0.18): The world does not grow or change dynamically based on the story. It remains static and limited, trapping the player in a rigid box.
- Game is easy to cheese (weight 0.17): The game is easy to cheese, and the only limitation found is the player's own imagination. This may reduce challenge and engagement.
- Camera and spectating issues (weight 0.1): The camera cannot be moved while spectating after death, preventing players from checking on NPCs. This jank hinders observation.
- AI ignores image generation prompts (weight 0.1): The image model cannot generate certain requested features, like a female dwarf with a beard, despite extensive prompting. This limits visual customization.
- NPCs spawn implausible objects (weight 0.1): NPCs may spawn objects out of nowhere, such as a bed after claiming it existed. This breaks immersion and feels arbitrary.

Gameplay feedback:
- Magic System with Combinations (weight 0.91): Magic can be combined to create strong spells, control weather, summon undead armies, freeze time, and more. Players can learn void magic, bind a lich as a teacher, and even turn NPCs into carrots.
- Rich NPC Life and Interaction (weight 0.84): NPCs are generated with names, personalities, daily routines, and quests, and they initiate conversations, react emotionally, and comment on events. They can join as companions, follow the player, and engage in freeform dialogue that can lead to quests.
- AI Game Master Drives Story (weight 0.81): The game uses an AI Game Master that narrates events, resolves actions via dice rolls, and dynamically creates quests and story hooks. It reacts to player actions like a tabletop RPG, providing an adaptive narrative experience.
- Custom World Generation (weight 0.62): Players can generate and edit custom worlds with their own NPCs, specifying settings such as medieval, cyberpunk, or high fantasy. Worlds can include themed locations and even daily schedules for classes.
- Procedural Map and World Builder (weight 0.52): The game features procedural map generation on a grid, and players can also manually build maps or use a map editor to generate and place any object. Custom worlds can be built from imported data or generated via free commands.
- Character and Skill Customization (weight 0.47): Players can create characters with specified gender, hairstyle, and starting situation, and customize skills, equipment, and talent trees. The game includes perk, skill, attribute, and level systems, with AI able to create new perks.
- Custom Scenario Creation (weight 0.41): Players can write their own scenarios, such as a medieval setting where they play a prince or the life of a bard, and play them with an AI narrator. Scenario generation includes limited attempts and daily tokens.
- Interactive World Details (weight 0.37): Players can rummage through desks to find items, negotiate prices with NPCs, and follow quest chains that build relevant locations. The AI can create new locations like a blacksmith's cottage in response to typed commands.
- Freeform Actions and Sandbox (weight 0.36): Players can type actions freely rather than choosing from preset options, derailing planned events and interacting with the world in open-ended ways. The game supports a wide range of actions such as summoning, jail escape, petrification, marriage, and teleportation.
- AI Generates Multimedia Content (weight 0.33): The game uses AI to generate worlds, images, voices, and sprites, including AI-generated images for items and spells. Sprites can also be edited by the player.
- 2D and RPG Maker Style (weight 0.29): The game is played in a 2D setting and resembles RPG Maker games in its presentation. It features sprites and a walkable map.
- Death and Spectator Options (weight 0.25): After death, players can choose to remain in the world and spectate, with a 'keep watching' button that keeps the scene going. The AI DM can also be instructed to revive the player and grant powers.
- AI Model and Prompt Customization (weight 0.25): Players can connect custom AI models and edit AI prompts, and the game supports a custom text service with a local model. Subscription tiers affect which NPC models are loaded.
- Combat and Dice Mechanics (weight 0.25): The game includes combat with grappling and damage over time, and runs involve dice rolls and speech checks resolved by the game master. The GM turn system is driven by an AI service.
- Fantasy Setting and Themes (weight 0.23): Worlds and characters are generated in a fantasy setting, with a magical university theme. The game includes fantasy elements like a magic kitten that blesses people.
- Open-Ended Sandbox with Main Quest (weight 0.23): There is a main quest that can be ignored in favor of freeform play, and the game is an open-ended story sandbox with dynamically developing quests. Players can create their own story on a map.
- Early Access and Vanilla Play (weight 0.21): The game is in Early Access, and reviewers have played the vanilla version with no adjustments. The AI's output may differ somewhat from player expectations.
- God Mode and World Interference (weight 0.18): God Mode allows interference with the world, letting the player define their role and the moderator's behavior. This includes commanding actions, altering events, and shaping the narrative.
- Conversation Log and OOC (weight 0.17): Events fill a conversation log, and an OOC functionality exists to communicate with the AI about issues. This helps track the narrative and address concerns.
- Pause and Turn Structure (weight 0.09): The game has a pause feature but no clear turn structure, which may affect gameplay flow and strategy.

Performance notes:
- Fast AI in free version (weight 0.1): Players note that AI responses in the free version are very fast with almost no delay. This suggests the free tier provides a responsive experience for AI interactions.

Recommendations:
- Positive support for development (weight 0.42): Several reviewers express enthusiasm for the game's direction, encourage the developers, and plan to keep playing as it evolves. They recommend giving the game a chance or supporting the developer.
- Early access AI game worth trying (weight 0.28): Reviewers suggest the game is worth a try for those interested in early access AI games and fun, innovative projects. One gives a solid recommend.
- Concept good but execution lacking (weight 0.2): The idea is excellent, but reviewers feel the rest of the game must catch up before it becomes a complete RPG. Some are hesitant to recommend despite a thumbs-up.
- Cannot recommend or prefer alternative (weight 0.2): One reviewer cannot recommend the game, and another suggests going back to AI Roguelite instead.

Other player notes:
- Subscription and free model (weight 0.68): The game uses a basic free model with paid subscription tiers for larger AI memory, and subscriptions can be purchased through Steam. A free tier exists and appears to be the default, and the game does not require an AI subscription to play, though one review claims it does require a subscription.
- Custom API and local models (weight 0.5): The game supports custom APIs so players can use other LLM models, and it can be integrated with local LLM and ComfyUI setups. API or local model options exist as alternatives to subscriptions, and local models are supported through a custom text service.
- Upgrade to AI Roguelite (weight 0.36): Reviewers describe the game as a very good upgrade for AI Roguelite, made by the same developer. However, one reviewer considers AI Roguelite more developed with a much finer degree of control.
- Official AI service limits and censorship (weight 0.29): The official free AI service has a context limit and censors sexual content, real-world politics, and copyrighted content. Censorship is also mentioned on the store page.
- Demo available to try (weight 0.26): A demo is available to try before buying, and some reviewers evaluated the game through its demo.
- Early access with unfinished areas (weight 0.2): The game is in Early Access and has areas that still need development.
- Developer known for AI games (weight 0.2): The game is developed by a developer known for AI games on Steam, and uses his own trained version of Google Gemini trained on his own content.
- Responsive developer (weight 0.12): The developer responds to comments and actively fixes things.
- Fair base game price (weight 0.11): The base game price is seen as fair by a reviewer.
- Missing Thai voice support (weight 0.1): Thai voice language support is not yet included in the game.
- Music by Max Loh (weight 0.1): The game features music by Max Loh.
- Scottish voice preset (weight 0.09): The game offers a Scottish voice preset in Godmode.
- Reviewer used free version (weight 0.09): One reviewer used only the free version of the game.

Emotions:
- Frustration (weight 0.16): Players are frustrated by frequent technical failures in AI generation, including fetch errors, template lock-in, and scenario creation that consumes tokens without results. The AI often ignores detailed character lore, misreads input, and behaves adversarially, while censorship, Steam content policy, and unclear quest rewards further diminish the experience.
- Disappointment (weight 0.11): Despite a strong core idea, the game feels shallow with tiny, sparse maps and claustrophobic generation that kills exploration. Censorship is more severe than expected, modern-world NPC models break immersion, and custom scenario creation remains inaccessible, leaving the overall experience underwhelming.
- Fun (weight 0.08): Players find fun in flexible AI-driven roleplaying around self-chosen personas, creative magick system freedom, and unexpected twists like an evil lord derailing the story. Amusing scenarios such as getting caught and solving a cheating mystery keep the experience entertaining for extended sessions.
- Excitement (weight 0.06): Excitement stems from the novel AI Game Master concept that turns self-made fantasy scenarios into playable emergent stories. Players who waited for release find it delivers an engaging AI-driven D&D experience, especially when generating their first world.
- Annoyance (weight 0.05): Annoyance arises from quests failing to generate, events spawning mismatched content, and a random continuous enemy spawn system. Censorship and daily limits in the official service add to the irritation.
- Satisfaction (weight 0.05): Satisfaction comes from good entertainment value for the time played, successfully pulling off complex scenarios like infiltration and show trials, and world generation matching expectations closely.
- Amusement (weight 0.05): Amusement is sparked by absurd moments like turning characters into carrots and village-wide carrot jokes, funny improvised NPC interactions, and unexpected quest creation. Quirky exchanges such as haggling with the fisherwoman and keeping the bed despite the deal add to the humor.
- Enthusiasm (weight 0.05): Enthusiasm is driven by the ability to create everything from characters to talent trees, interesting AI-generated stories and situations, and finally finding the desired game after hours with the demo.
- Amazement (weight 0.05): Amazement occurs when the AI generates new perks, converts undead into followers, and smoothly interlocks NPC conversations with loot-related events. The overall experience impresses despite acknowledged AI limitations and server costs.
- Impressed (weight 0.03): Players are impressed by the freedom to type any action and generate any world, and by the AI accounting for many factors during complex actions like grappling an undead.
- Enjoyment (weight 0.03): Enjoyment comes from the game being very fun overall and delivering a fun, setting-appropriate AI-generated story.
- Fondness (weight 0.02): Fondness is expressed for the game as an absolute gem worth playing long term.
