About the Game
==============
The Aquatica Isle Outpost is a handcrafted 1x1km map in a brand new island region of Icarus.

* Discover lush inland forests and gorgeous natural coastlines, both with the calm, gentle atmospheres of an island paradise
* Discover a network of streams and rivers cutting through the map, but watch your step near the beaches as crocodiles are lurking in the shallows

- Positive Game Overall (weight 0.32): Reviewers describe the game as great and incredible, with some calling it the standard for survival crafters. The outpost contributes positively to the overall game experience.
- Enjoyable Cave Exploration (weight 0.31): Cave entrances look incredible, and finding caves on the tiny island is enjoyable. The caves add to the overall exploration experience.
- Adventure and Exploration (weight 0.3): The map offers exciting experiences like encountering a crocodile and building a shack. It is a great place for a Robinson Crusoe style adventure.
- Realistic and Authentic Map Design (weight 0.24): The map is contoured based on a real island, giving a sense of authenticity. Region-specific animal distribution adds realism to the experience.
- Nice Outpost Overall (weight 0.22): Reviewers find the outpost very cool and nice, indicating general satisfaction.
- Beautiful Coastal Spots (weight 0.21): There are a few gorgeous spots on the beaches, particularly enjoyed for their beauty.
- Clean Layout and Relaxation (weight 0.13): The outpost has a clean layout and is a great place to relax and build, providing a pleasant environment.
- Water Immersion and Realism (weight 0.12): The water immersion and visibility create a sense of panic and realism, enhancing the gameplay experience.
- Animals and Beach Presence (weight 0.12): The outpost has a beach and many animals, adding to the lively atmosphere.
- Post-Update Ore Improvements (weight 0.12): After an update, proper higher tier ores spawn, making it an awesome outpost to build on.
- Extreme Difficulty Enjoyed (weight 0.11): Players enjoy the Extreme difficulty setting, finding it challenging and rewarding.
- Science Fiction Elements Accepted (weight 0.11): The science fiction elements of flora and fauna are acknowledged as part of the game, fitting the theme.

Common complaints:
- Frequent bugs and broken terrain (weight 0.51): Players encounter floating rocks, holes in cliffs, fall-through-texture glitches, and broken movement. These bugs severely disrupt gameplay and exploration.
- Map feels unfinished and empty (weight 0.51): The outpost is described as small, empty, and hastily made, with little variety to explore. Many feel it is not worth purchasing unless significantly improved.
- Missing critical resources (weight 0.43): Key resources like aluminum, titanium, scoria, and clay are absent or extremely rare. This prevents building advanced bases and forces players to haul materials from other maps.
- Sparse and unremarkable caves (weight 0.41): Caves are sparse and similar to previous ones, with no unique features. Once cave resources are depleted, players are left with no way to sustain themselves.
- Lack of aquatic content (weight 0.41): Despite abundant water, there are no boats, rafts, sharks, or other aquatic life. The ocean is empty and the beach theme feels redundant.
- No distinct identity (weight 0.33): The outpost does not stand out from other forest DLCs, with identical flora and fauna. Players expected unique features to set it apart.
- Poor XP and resource rewards (weight 0.25): Outpost maps provide only 25% experience and no exotics, making them feel like a waste of time. Players see little incentive to invest effort in these maps.
- Terrain traversal is a chore (weight 0.24): Moving across the island is difficult and bad for gathering resources. The terrain needs a rework to make navigation smoother.
- Poor base building locations (weight 0.24): Resource nodes are scattered, with only two central spots suitable for building. Beaches are small, making ocean-view construction hard.
- Few ore veins and deep nodes (weight 0.23): Very few veins exist, requiring luck or constant reloading to get materials. The outpost could use more deep ore nodes.
- Unresponsive support and overpriced DLC (weight 0.22): Players report that bugs are not fixed, and the DLC is overpriced for its quality. This leads to dissatisfaction and distrust.
- Insufficient resources for tier 4 (weight 0.14): Available resources and caves may not be enough to reach a Tier 4 base. Players struggle to progress without importing materials.
- Weather never worsens (weight 0.14): In the beach area, weather conditions never worsen, with no storms or showers. This is seen as a bug that reduces immersion.
- No waterwheel placement (weight 0.14): Players cannot place waterwheels anywhere on the map. This limits building options and frustrates those wanting to use water power.
- No unique landmarks or POIs (weight 0.13): The map misses potential for landmarks like eroded formations, shipwrecks, or unique points of interest. This makes exploration less rewarding.
- Annoying scorpion noise (weight 0.12): Scorpions attack rocks they cannot climb, creating an annoying noise. This audio bug detracts from the experience.
- Preference for other regions (weight 0.12): Some players prefer the desert and snow regions over this outpost. The beach outpost fails to appeal to those who enjoy other biomes.

Gameplay feedback:
- Caves and diverse biomes (weight 0.71): Clusters highlight that the game features numerous caves, including some with redesigned more natural entrances, often used for secondary camps or base locations. The map is noted to include forest, mountain, and beach biomes, though one cluster complains the main biome is simply a standard forest.
- Map includes beach and ocean (weight 0.62): Several clusters confirm the presence of a beach map with oceanic areas, coastal water, and coastal zones featuring palms and sand. Some specify no underwater sections exist, and the outpost DLC adds a beach map.
- Flora and fauna familiar (weight 0.46): Clusters indicate the map has the same flora and fauna as other maps, includes creatures from Olympus and Styx, and features many of the same animals found on Styx. Animal distribution appears region-specific, with region-specific placement like boars and wolves.

- Resource nodes scarce or missing (weight 0.39): One cluster reports resource veins are scarce on the map, and another notes exotics are unobtainable on outposts. However, other clusters indicate resources respawn on login and resource nodes are distributed by region with specific materials in different areas.
- Deep mining and Tier 4 (weight 0.31): Clusters mention deep mining ore sites as part of the resource system and that Tier 4 gear requires aluminum and titanium. The map also has a Tier 4 base progression level.
