Emotions:

The small and aging player base leads to dead servers, long waits, and unbalanced matches, while technical issues like crashes and poor optimization compound the negative experience.
- Satisfaction (weight 0.16): Satisfaction stems from the game's realistic and tactical gameplay, immersive atmosphere, and rewarding team coordination. Players appreciate the active community, bot mode for practice, and the sense of accomplishment from mastering mechanics and surviving intense battles.
- Disappointment (weight 0.1): Disappointment arises from the removal of the single-player campaign, a very low and often dead player population, and the game being abandoned by developers. Outdated graphics, bugs, and a toxic community further diminish the experience for those expecting a thriving or complete game.
- Excitement (weight 0.1): Excitement is generated by intense, chaotic combat including banzai charges, artillery strikes, and close-quarters firefights. The authentic war atmosphere, variety of roles, and dramatic moments like clearing a machine gun nest or holding a last stand provide thrilling and memorable gameplay.
- Admiration (weight 0.07): Admiration is expressed for the game's exceptional realism, attention to historical detail, and immersive atmosphere, particularly its portrayal of the Eastern Front. The sound design, tank interiors, and weapon behavior are often highlighted as benchmarks for the genre, even years after release.
- Enjoyment (weight 0.05): Enjoyment comes from the hardcore mechanics, realistic gunplay, and chaotic team moments like melee-only games or screaming in voice chat. The game offers a unique blend of realism and fun, with a persistent community and rewarding experience that grows on players over time.
- Nostalgia (weight 0.04): Nostalgia is triggered by memories of specific battles, the game's classic atmosphere, and hours spent with the community over many years. Players fondly recall the magic of the 2011-2014 era, connecting the experience to simpler times and personal history.
- Appreciation (weight 0.04): Appreciation stems from the game's unique design, historical accuracy, and realistic mechanics, such as careful movement and legendary tank interiors. The loyal if small community and the game's ability to convey the harsh reality of war are also highly valued.
- Fear (weight 0.03): Fear is induced by the constant threat of one-shot deaths from snipers, machine guns, and artillery, creating a tense and helpless atmosphere. The realistic sound design, such as incoming mortar rounds, and the feeling of being a cannon fodder soldier in a hellish Stalingrad contribute to genuine anxiety.
- Immersion (weight 0.03): Immersion is achieved through detailed soldier voice reactions, authentic soundtracks, and gritty visuals that transport the player to Stalingrad 1942. Features like suppression, dismemberment, and a narrator's goodbye message create a powerful sense of being a small cog in a brutal war machine.
- Amusement (weight 0.02): Amusement derives from funny community moments, such as a commander playing music during a charge, exaggerated descriptions of dying, and the humorous contrast of the game's brutality with trivial issues like computer temperatures. The Digital Deluxe Edition's TF2 hats and a poem about the bolt-action rifle also provide lighthearted entertainment.
- Anger (weight 0.02): Anger is directed at toxic veteran behavior, including deliberate teamkilling, verbal abuse, and unfair bans by admins. Frustration with mechanics like spawn camping, unrealistic machine gun fire through smoke, and the game's initial unwelcoming difficulty also fuel this emotion.
- Sadness (weight 0.01): Sadness stems from the game being effectively abandoned by developers, a dead or severely declining player base, and the melancholy of saying goodbye to a cherished multiplayer experience. The lack of a sequel and the memory of hitting teammates accurately add to the sense of loss.
- Love (weight 0.01): Love for the game is expressed for its ability to create epic moments of camaraderie and intense battles that have stood the test of time. Favorite aspects include sniping, using anti-tank rifles, and the unmatched immersion and gameplay that make it a personal classic.
- Tension (weight 0.01): Tension is created by constant threats like one-shot kills, bleeding, and suppression system, forcing careful movement and cover use. The silence of a taken village and the need to avoid MG42 fire heighten the sense of vulnerability and survival in a warzone slaughterhouse.
- Confusion (weight 0.01): Confusion arises from unclear game mechanics, such as not knowing how to create a local server or find bot mode, and from bizarre events like a pistol destroying a tank. Players are also bewildered by missing expected content like the campaign mode from a Digital Deluxe Edition.
- Gratitude (weight 0.01): Gratitude is directed at the developers for keeping servers running long after release, allowing continued enjoyment. Players also thank the game for providing community companionship, reminding them of historical sacrifices, and for unexpectedly improving skills in other games like CS2.
- Enthusiasm (weight 0.01): Enthusiasm is driven by the game's highly detailed and realistic design, historical accuracy, and fun mechanics like the banzai charge. Despite high difficulty and deaths, players are keen to recommend it, providing detailed guidance for new players interested in WWII realism.
- Relief (weight 0.01): Relief comes from finally fixing crash issues, finding that servers are still active, or discovering that the gun handling is superior to its predecessor. The game also serves as a reliable alternative that works when other titles crash, providing a breath of fresh air.
- Impressed (weight 0.01): Impression is garnered by the game's realistic voice acting, detailed systems, and ongoing active community even after years. Players consider it more authentic than mainstream shooters like Battlefield and rank it among the best WWII games they have played.}
