Info about Twinkleby:

Official game description:
Twinkleby is a laid-back decoration game set in a nostalgic, cozy universe with an absurdist twist; you progress through an archipelago of floating islands, build neighbourhood dioramas, and throw whatever items and creatures you don’t want over the island’s edge. Twinkleby is a universe where the mood changes on a whim, where you create elaborate environments by controlling the soundtrack, scenery and lighting, and build dreamscapes that range from eerie and gothic to adorable and romantic.
In Twinkleby, the world is your inventory. Throw anything you don’t want off the side of the island, and it will be returned to your collections. Rebuild, redesign, and unlock the full range of customisation for scenery and items, including colours, backdrops, weathers and seasons. As you customise the scenery you change the soundtrack, and gradually gain full control over the ambience of your dreamscapes.
Your islands and decoration choices will attract a variety of whimsy new residents, who all have traits that affect how they interact with the environment and each other. Some of these neighbours are rare sights in the archipelago, and only the most dedicated player will collect them all. Like everything else in Twinkleby, any neighbour can be evicted at any time – just throw their luggage off the side of the island, and they’ll take the hint.
It might be a good idea to not be too hasty with the evictions though, because every neighbour carries gifts in their bag, and should you make them happy, they will reward you in return.
✦ Progress along Twinkleby’s star chart to unlock new islands to make your own, and gather map fragments to discover hidden islands along the way.
✦ Grow your item collection to decorate your islands, and return items to your inventory by throwing them off the island’s edge.
✦ Furnish your houses to attract and collect new neighbours (common and rare), and should you grow tired of their company – evict them at a moment’s notice!
✦ Make your neighbours happy, and they’ll reward you handsomely with a variety of items, including paintings, keys, and even houses!
✦ Compose the soundtrack of your dioramas using the weathers, seasons and backdrops, and create unique audio-visual dreamscapes for each new island.
✦ Collect the shooting stars known as Stellars and spend them in Molligan’s Antiques on whatever catches your eye! Generate more Stellars by making your neighbours happy, and find new, secret ways to make the stars fall.
✦ You’re not the only one throwing things into space in the Twinkleby archipelago; catch chests that fall past your islands, and loot them to expand your collections.
✦ When you have delved deep into space, you will be able to play on parallel islands – new clean-slate versions of the islands you've found. Keep exploring new, creative ways to decorate with all the stuff you've gathered!
✦Capture your magnificent creations and adorable moments in the photo mode.

Common complaints:
- Slow early game pacing (weight 0.23): Players find the initial hours of the game to be slow-paced and somewhat bare-bones, taking a long time to unlock enough content to engage in interesting creation. This can lead to a stale feeling at the start.
- Poor item categorization (weight 0.18): The categorization of furniture and other items is insufficient, especially in later stages of the game. This makes it difficult and time-consuming for players to find specific items in the store or inventory.

- Limited house customization (weight 0.12): Players are unable to change the style or color of roofs, windows, and doors on houses. This limitation restricts their creative freedom and ability to match building exteriors with other decorations.
- Lack of clear goals/rewards (weight 0.11): The game does not provide enough interesting goals or strategic depth for players who prefer not to focus solely on design. There's also a perceived lack of rewards for creative or unique ideas.
- Passive NPC interactions (weight 0.1): NPCs exhibit limited interaction, sometimes requiring players to passively observe them for extended periods to complete simple actions. The overall interaction with islanders is also quite shallow.
- Minor visual/UI bugs (weight 0.1): Players have encountered minor bugs such as stars getting stuck in houses causing model twitching, and the 'Compendium' option in the pause menu being inaccessible. There's also a chance of a black screen during resident satisfaction animations.
- Difficult item placement (weight 0.08): Placing items on the outer edges of tables can make it hard to recognize available space and accurately position new items inside. This creates a frustrating experience for players trying to decorate.

- Overwhelming resident arrival (weight 0.08): Residents arrive too quickly, which can make players feel flustered and overwhelmed, especially when combined with a sudden influx of choices from unlocking many items at once.
- Missable falling items (weight 0.07): It is easy to miss falling star coins and chests, especially when idling or playing on smaller screens like the Steam Deck with zoomed-in views. This can lead to missed rewards.
- Insufficient tutorial details (weight 0.05): The in-game tutorial is not detailed enough, leaving players without sufficient guidance on various game mechanics and features. This can lead to confusion and a steeper learning curve.

Gameplay feedback:
- Currency & Item Acquisition (weight 0.43): Star coins are the primary currency, earned through decorating, collecting fallen stars, or found in treasure chests. These coins fund purchases of new items and light up star paths. Keys, for opening chests, are obtained via satisfaction, progress rewards, or purchase.

Players can attract new residents, manage their numbers, and even evict them, with rare residents having unique arrival conditions.
