**Gameplay and features**
Pit of Goblin is a co-op survival extraction game. You can tackle it solo, but it’s recommended to play with friends (or random teammates through matchmaking). The aim is to descend into the Pit and search for food and other valuables.
Throughout the different depths of the Pit are monsters and nasties that will try to kill you and your goblin friends or steal the food you have successfully found. Run, hide, but don’t forget to watch your step. Otherwise, you might fall victim to traps that can hurt or even kill you.
Goblins have the ability to sprint, jump, and fill their limited pockets with loot. Big items might need both hands, though! Eating certain items may give you a buff, or you could try using them as a weapon or distraction by throwing them!
Your task is to feed the King Queen and keep them sated. Manage to deliver enough food and they’ll send you right back into the Pit once again, only they get greedier each time, increasing the amount needed to still their hunger. The further down you go into the Pit, the greater the rewards – but is it worth the risk?
Sell your loot in the goblin village and exchange your precious coins for torches, magical lanterns, armor, and other useful items. The goblin merchant has it all! Or swing by the curio shop and procure special communication stones for the right price!
Be daring and explore the Pit – the King Queen is hungry!

- Hardware Profile:
  - Summary: The Windows 16GB+ VRAM cohort shows a clear positive outcome, while the Windows 8-11GB VRAM cohort has only a non-recommended report focused on stage-hazard behavior rather than clear hardware performance.
  - Sample size: 30 (2% coverage)
  - Audience skew: Review sample is mostly Windows-based.
  - Windows 16GB+ VRAM (positive, 5 reports): A 24GB VRAM Windows 11 user reports the game runs great, including on a laptop.
  - Windows 8-11GB VRAM (negative, 5 reports): The only included report is non-recommended and cites inconsistent stage-hazard behavior, with no clear performance details.
  - Caveats: 30 of 1202 reviews expose hardware metadata.; Review sample is mostly Windows-based.
Feature extractions:
- Community Price:
  - Community fair range: $2.99 - $5.99
  - Reasoning: The reviews repeatedly describe purchases at deep sale prices around $1-$2 or €1 as excellent value, while several reviewers explicitly say the game is worth full price or that the regular price is not bad. One reviewer cautions against buying at full price, which suggests the fair base price should sit above the common sale price but not far above the current $5.99. This supports an estimated community fair base-game range of roughly $2.99-$5.99.
- Playtime Metrics:
  - Game completion: 10.0h
  - Story completion: 4.0h
  - Session length: 2.6h
  - Endgame: 30.0h
  - Reasoning: One review reports a first clear at roughly 4 hours, supporting storyCompletion at 4. Another review estimates about 10 hours of content when trying everything, supporting gameCompletion at 10. An explicit 2.6-hour multiplayer session supports sessionLength at 2.6. A player reporting almost 30 hours and still wanting more supports an endgame/long-tail value of about 30 hours; the +100-hour comment is treated as an outlier and not used for the metric.

The game's brutal and fun nature, along with unexpected surprising moments, keeps players engaged and eager for more.
- Annoyance (weight 0.03): Annoyance stems from unclear quotas, long unskippable cutscenes, and mechanics like weapons disappearing when attacked. Bugs and griefers also contribute to irritation.
- Boredom (weight 0.02): The game becomes repetitive and stale quickly, especially in solo play, with a lack of progression and variety. Early levels feel empty, and the gameplay loop loses its appeal after a few hours. The finite upgrades and one-dimensional gameplay fail to keep players engaged long-term.
