Info about Tower Dominion:

Official game description:

Your empire faces relentless invasions from the savage Artronids, threatening its very existence. As Commander, you are the last line of defense against the deadly enemy onslaught. In this endlessly replayable experience, every battle presents fresh challenges with unpredictable outcomes.
Take control of the battlefield by shaping the very ground your enemies march on. Expand and modify terrain tiles to create choke points, forcing enemies into lethal artillery fire or luring them into carefully laid traps. Height and pathing are your greatest weapons—use them wisely to dictate the flow of battle and secure victory.
Each faction brings its own arsenal to the battlefield, featuring unique biomes, towers, and strategies. Their distinct playstyles shape how you build defenses, deploy units, and control the fight. With 10 unique heroes per faction, each possessing their own strengths and abilities, there are always new tactics to discover and strategies to master.
War is unpredictable, but true Commanders adapt. After each wave, select from a set of upgrades and rewards to reinforce your strategy. Assess enemy strengths and weaknesses, adjusting your defenses to counter their advance. No two battles end the same way, as each new tile placement forces you to plan one step ahead.
There's a wide variety of content to unlock as you progress through the game. Heroes are earned through achievements, building upgrades are discovered, and the Codex is packed with secrets to uncover. With four difficulty levels, an endless 'Frontier Mode', and every playthrough offering new challenges, Tower Dominion provides a highly replayable experience.
Survival depends on constant innovation and adaptation. Every alien wave is a unique combination of Artronids that will test your ability to adapt. Are you ready to employ innovative tactics, build impregnable defenses and hold the line? Commander, your troops await your orders!

Each point is assigned a weight that represents how often it is mentioned across all reviews.
What players like:
- Engaging, addictive tower defense gameplay (weight 0.95): The game is praised for its engaging and addictive tower defense gameplay, often compared favorably to others in the genre. Reviewers highlight its unique mechanics, strategic depth, and satisfying progression system, making it a top-tier experience.
- Design custom enemy paths (weight 0.09): A key element of the gameplay is the ability to design custom paths for enemies. This feature, combined with diverse weapon types, allows for creative and rewarding strategic planning.
- Extensive upgrade system (weight 0.08): The game allows upgrading of everything, including equipment. A limited resource is used for powerful upgrades.
- Varied gameplay experiences (weight 0.05): The game incorporates enough randomness to ensure varied gameplay experiences, with no two sessions being the same.

Common complaints:
- Unbalanced, artificial difficulty (weight 0.59): Many reviewers mention that the game's difficulty is unbalanced and artificially inflated. The difficulty curve is steep, with significant spikes early on, forcing players into repetitive die-and-retry gameplay. Some reviews indicate that the difficulty is due to bugs.
- Overpriced, poor economy balance (weight 0.5): Several reviewers feel the game is overpriced for the content it offers, especially considering the limited replayability and the presence of bugs. The economy is also poorly balanced, making it difficult to afford towers and progress effectively.
- Excessive reliance on randomness (weight 0.34): The game relies too heavily on randomness (RNG) in tile placement, map generation, resource allocation, and upgrades. This reduces player agency and makes success feel more dependent on luck than skill, leading to frustration and limiting replayability.
- Game-breaking bugs and issues (weight 0.3): Multiple reviewers have encountered significant bugs, including camera issues that make the game unplayable. Some players even report receiving a demo version instead of the full game, indicating serious technical problems.
- Balance and mechanics need work (weight 0.17): The game's balance and mechanics need refinement, with some units underperforming and difficulty spikes leading to quick defeats. The game also lacks sufficient explanation of its mechanics, leading to confusion.
- Performance issues, overheating (weight 0.07): The game suffers from performance issues, including overheating graphics cards and lagging in later stages. This can make the game unplayable for players with lower-end hardware.
- Poor in-game encyclopedia (weight 0.05): The in-game encyclopedia lacks descriptions, making it difficult for new players to understand the towers and their uses. This leads to poor choices and wasted resources.
- Missing 'undo' functionality (weight 0.05): The game lacks an 'undo' button, making misclicks on platforms and research choices frustrating.
- Invisibility mechanic problematic (weight 0.05): The invisible monster mechanic is troublesome, and there are too few ways to counter invisibility.
- Lacks external progression (weight 0.05): The game lacks external progression systems like talent trees, making it difficult to overcome challenges through gradual improvements.
- Commanders lack viability (weight 0.05): Random turrets and maps limit the ability to experience different commanders. Many commanders are not viable on higher difficulties because they cannot survive the early game.
- Limited hero variation (weight 0.04): The game only allows access to two heroes after purchase, and multiple heroes don't offer significant variation in gameplay.
- Underwhelming commander skills (weight 0.04): Commander skills feel underwhelming and not as effective as in-game buffs. Commander skills have variable effect and usefulness.

Gameplay feedback:
- Roguelike tower defense map-building (weight 0.2): The game uniquely blends tower defense with roguelike map-building. Players strategically place tiles to create defensive layouts, adding a layer of replayability and adaptation to the tower defense genre.
- Diverse factions, heroes, units (weight 0.17): The game offers a diverse range of factions, heroes, and units, each with unique abilities and strategic roles. This variety encourages players to experiment with different playstyles and tactical approaches.
- Lacks counters to stealth/shields (weight 0.05): Players feel there are insufficient options for countering stealth and shielded enemies. The lack of effective counter-measures can lead to frustrating base attacks and a feeling of helplessness.
- Limited resources, impactful decisions (weight 0.03): Resources are limited, and building availability is restricted, making each decision impactful. This scarcity forces players to carefully consider their choices and prioritize their actions.
- Desire for greater depth (weight 0.03): Players are requesting more content such as combinations, equipment, mechanisms and maps. This indicates a desire for greater depth and variety in gameplay.
- Upgradeable main base (weight 0.02): The main base can be upgraded.
- Good trench defense gameplay (weight 0.02): Trench defense gameplay feels good.

Performance notes:
- Camera bugs are present (weight 0.05): The game suffers from camera-related bugs. One bug forces the camera to fly in one direction repeatedly, requiring a restart to fix. Another bug locks the camera to the edge of the map, but it resolves itself after completing a wave.
- Frame rate issues resolved (weight 0.03): Frame rate issues that were present in the demo version of the game have been resolved in the full release. This indicates a positive change and improvement in the game's performance since the demo.

- Limited content for price (weight 0.03): The game lacks sufficient content relative to its cost. Players feel that the amount of gameplay and features offered do not justify the price tag, leading to disappointment.
- Tower-building similar to Red Faction (weight 0.03): The game's tower-building mechanics are compared to Red Faction's terrain destruction. This suggests that players who enjoy creatively building and filling the environment with structures might find the game appealing.
