Info about Dice Legends:

Official game description:
_Dice Legends_ is a single-player roguelike from an indie team including the creative mind behind _GWENT_ and _Cyberpunk: Edgerunners_, featuring original music by the composer from _Balatro_.
In the game, you embark on an adventure in a high fantasy world as one of three characters — each representing a distinct class that uses a different type of dice: d6, d8, or d12.
With every defeated monster, you acquire new cards enhancing your build and tactical possibilities. But crafting a deck is only one part of the fun — the unpredictable nature of rolling the dice must be managed and controlled with items, card combinations, and power-ups. _Dice Legends_ is all about using your game knowledge, wits, and a touch of luck to find that game-breaking combo that feels sooo satisfying to play!
Roll a pool of dice each turn and draw cards from your deck. Next, use dice to activate cards and set up your defense, debuff the enemy, or deal as much damage as you can. The more card-dice synergies you discover, the more unstoppable — and satisfying! — your combos become.
Choose from three heroes who specialize in different dice:
* Lion Paladin **ARIE** — wields the power of the d6 dice to unleash immense damage or shield himself against incoming attacks.
* Crow Demon Summoner **KURO** — manipulates the d12 dice to conjure and command powerful familiars onto the battlefield.
* Toad Assassin **XIN** — agile shadow magic user that taps into the power of the d8 dice to accumulate damage over time or deliver massive critical damage.
Enter a world where a magical cataclysm transformed all humans into terrifying beasts. Choose where to go and what to discover, as you travel across the map in search of clues that reveal the story. With each successfully cleared location, you will obtain build-defining weapons, armor, accessories, and more. Once you craft the ultimate gear-card combination, take down the final boss and become a Dice Legend!
* **160 hand-drawn cards** offering multiple options for synergies and combos
* **50+ enemies with multiple skills** to challenge your best decks
* **4 visually distinct worlds** — each with its own set of monsters and challenges
* **3 Heroes** with unique play styles and different deck-building mechanics
* **75+** items for your characters to equip or use in combat
* The world and narrative conceived by _GWENT_ and _Cyberpunk: Edgerunners_ creator and writer of _Witcher: Ronin_ and _No\\Name_ manga — **Rafał Jaki**
* Original musical score by _Balatro_ composer — **LouisF**

Common complaints:
- Difficulty and balance issues (weight 0.58): The game presents a steep difficulty curve, especially for new players, with early levels and bosses being particularly challenging. There are concerns about class and stat imbalances, monster strength scaling, and the overall balance of the game's values.
- Game feels unfinished and short (weight 0.56): Many players feel the game is incomplete, lacks content, and is too short for its price. It's perceived as rough around the edges, buggy, and needing significant polish and depth, with some even suggesting the demo was better.
- Excessive luck-based randomness (weight 0.34): Players are frustrated by the high degree of luck-based randomness, particularly with dice rolls and card draws, which often outweigh strategic choices. This can lead to feeling stuck or having runs ruined by bad rolls, making progress feel unrewarding.
- Technical and UI/UX issues (weight 0.32): Several technical and user experience problems exist, including poor Steam Deck compatibility (small text, no controller support), unclear buff icons, and minor bugs like settings not saving or incorrect card numbers. The game also lacks a speed-up function and instant dialogue display.
- Poor deck and inventory management (weight 0.24): The game's systems for managing decks and inventory are criticized for being clunky and lacking essential features like card previews or the ability to delete cards. The deck-building process feels compressed, hindering strategic depth.
- Specific card and debuff issues (weight 0.14): Players highlight specific issues with certain cards and debuffs, such as the 'burning dice 3' debuff being overly punishing, the two-attack card requiring specific dice, and the elite spider's unavoidable poison damage.
- Minor issues and suggestions (weight 0.1): Some players noted minor issues like an empty boss reward, limited card upgrade shops, and a desire for more sound variety. There's also a comment about 'horny character portraits,' which is noted but given low importance due to its subjective and non-gameplay nature.

Gameplay feedback:
- Challenging Strategic Combat (weight 0.4): The game presents a high difficulty, requiring players to strategically build decks and adapt to punishing encounters. Bosses and certain enemies demand specific card choices and tactical thinking, making defense crucial but often difficult without specialized cards.
- Unique Dice-Card Mechanics (weight 0.37): The core gameplay revolves around a distinctive dice system that dictates moves and interacts with cards in varied ways. This mechanic rewards smart planning and makes each combat feel like a unique puzzle, offering different build opportunities around specific dice values.
- Limited Character & Card Variety (weight 0.28): Despite some unique mechanics, players feel there's a lack of variety in card, item, and potion effects, which limits character and deck-building options. The current number of legends (three) also impacts replayability.
- Character-Specific Strategies (weight 0.28): Each of the three heroes offers distinct mechanics and playstyles, such as Shield/Counter, Poison/Crit, and Summons. Players have identified specific powerful strategies for characters like the Lion and Mage, often involving armor stacking or particular equipment.
- Progression & Unlockables (weight 0.22): The game features a drip-fed story and a system of unlockables, including new equipment and 'portraits' that alter playstyles. New content is constantly unlocked, and there are many upgrades available throughout a run.
- Simple Yet Deep Mechanics (weight 0.19): The game starts with simple mechanics that gradually become more complex and varied. While some choices are limited to numerical increases, the underlying mechanics are considered deep and well-approached.
- Slay the Spire & Dicey Dungeons Hybrid (weight 0.18): Players frequently compare the game to a blend of 'Slay the Spire' for its card and progression elements, and 'Dicey Dungeons' for its dice-rolling combat. This combination creates a turn-based deck-building roguelike experience.
- Character Clear Times (weight 0.16): Specific character clear times have been noted, with one player clearing the game with the mage in approximately 10 hours, and another taking 4 hours for a first clear, highlighting varying run lengths.
- Armor Stacking Potential (weight 0.15): Armor is a significant defensive mechanic, with players noting that block is kept between turns and can stack to very high numbers, especially with burn cards. This allows for powerful defensive builds that can make monster attacks negligible.
- Pacing and Combat Flow (weight 0.15): While some find the pacing solid, others describe combat as slow and lacking decisive moments, often feeling like a battle of attrition. Enemies are noted to have limited and predictable actions.
- Limited Item Interactions & Gold (weight 0.12): Players report that item interactions are poor due to the scarcity of items obtained during a run. Additionally, in-game gold acquisition is considered too low, and equipment management could be improved with better slot prompting.
- Experimental Run Philosophy (weight 0.06): Bad runs are perceived as opportunities for experimentation rather than outright failures. The game encourages risk-taking, suggesting a forgiving approach to learning and adapting strategies.
- Debuff Duration (weight 0.03): Most debuffs applied in the game last for a minimum of two turns, which can significantly impact tactical decisions during combat.
- Card Focus on Attacks (weight 0.03): Many cards available to players primarily focus on dealing more attacks, indicating a potential emphasis on offensive strategies in deck building.

- Card Upgrade Disappearance (weight 0.05): A bug causes card upgrades to vanish after reloading the game, negating player progress and strategic choices. This can be frustrating for players investing time in deck building.
