Info about Lootbound:

Official game description:
ROAD MAP
========
About the Game
==============
**Lootbound: take risks, build your squad and create your build**
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Every run starts with you alone.
As you move across the map, choose a route that leads to valuable loot. Along the way, you will meet companions who will help you fight this difficult battle!
Team and equipment
------------------
You need to collect a separate set of equipment for the hero and each companion.
Items do not have fixed slots. You can rotate them and place them in the inventory as long as there is free space.
Item auras
----------
Items become truly powerful when they start affecting one another. Some items have auras that strengthen weapons or armor in adjacent cells.
Sometimes moving an item by a single cell is enough to change the entire build.
Companions and abilities
------------------------
In combat, you control only the main hero.
Companions act on their own. They already know what to do...
Create the final GUARDIAN
-------------------------
At the end of each biome, you choose one of two boss parts.
Each part changes the Guardian's appearance and power. After completing all biomes, you will have to face the final boss.
Risk and reward
---------------
Some rewards in Lootbound cannot be obtained just like that.
In special rooms, you are offered several options with different difficulty levels. The more valuable the reward, the harder it is to obtain with a dice roll.
**This is Lootbound...**

Feature scans:
- Steam Deck: score 40; verdict: Playable with Workaround; summary: The game runs on Steam Deck with full controller support and minimal settings, but requires an easy workaround for compatibility. No major crashes or UI issues are reported.

- Hardware Profile: No data
Feature extractions:
- Community Price:
  - Community fair range: $8.00 - $12.00
  - Reasoning: Multiple reviewers indicate the current $14.99 price is too high given the game's small size. One reviewer found the game acceptable only after a 35% discount (~$9.74), suggesting the community considers a range around $8-$12 as fair. A single positive review does not override the consensus about overpricing.
- Playtime Metrics:
  - Game completion: 3.0h
  - Story completion: N/A
  - Session length: N/A
  - Endgame: N/A
  - Reasoning: gameCompletion (first win) is supported by a direct report of 3 hours to first win, and another player's 5 hours to beat the first boss (a major milestone). sessionLength is derived from the explicit claim that a full run to the final boss takes 35-40+ minutes, converted to 0.6 hours. No reliable evidence exists for story completion or endgame playtime, so those are null.
- Time-to-fun:

Other player notes:

Emotions:
- Frustration (weight 0.55): Players are frustrated by excessive RNG that can make runs unwinnable regardless of skill, combined with overpowered enemies and bosses that one-shot characters. The game forces grinding for meta-progression due to a steep difficulty curve, and companions have poor AI that wastes resources or makes suboptimal decisions. Missing quality-of-life features like a character interface during menus and limited inventory space compound the frustration.
- Disappointment (weight 0.23): Players feel disappointed because the full release offers little new content compared to the demo, with many demo issues left unfixed. The game relies on grind and RNG instead of strategic depth, and companions remain uncontrollable and weak. The lack of meaningful progression and unbalanced difficulty undermines the enjoyable core mechanics.
- Satisfaction (weight 0.22): Satisfaction comes from rewarding progression and runs, especially after overcoming tough challenges like beating the first boss or the game. Players enjoy the smooth gameplay, well-organized systems, and the satisfying feeling of putting together a good build. The developer's responsiveness in fixing demo balance issues also contributes to positive sentiment.
- Enjoyment (weight 0.19): Players enjoy the game's beautiful art, atmosphere, and music, which create a cozy and relaxing experience. The loot system, inventory management, and build variety keep gameplay fun and engaging despite occasional RNG frustrations. The turn-based combat with no time pressure allows thoughtful play, adding to the enjoyment.
- Excitement (weight 0.1): Excitement is driven by the innovative combination of inventory Tetris and roguelite mechanics, alongside beautiful art and clean gameplay. Players feel powerful in some runs, and the randomness adds variety and surprise. The game is described as addictive and engaging, with strong item discovery and synergies.
- Appreciation (weight 0.08): Players appreciate the developers' responsiveness to feedback, resulting in improvements from the demo to the full release. The beautiful pixel art, animations, music, and atmosphere are highly praised for their quality and polish. The deep inventory system and addictive gameplay loop are also commended.
- Hope (weight 0.03): Hope is expressed for future updates to address current issues and further improve the game. Players look forward to developer responses and believe the game has potential to grow. Some hope the game gains more visibility and continues to receive support.
- Engagement (weight 0.03): Players become highly engaged, spending hours in a single session due to the compelling progression loop. The combination of dice mechanics, upgrades, and build variety keeps them hooked from the start. The game's captivating world and loot system sustain long play sessions.
- Annoyance (weight 0.03): Annoyance stems from inventory management issues like item sizes causing unfillable gaps and limited space. Slow UI animations, lack of keyboard shortcuts, and immersion-breaking character facing also irritate players. The unreliable Bard healing and overly negative party banter add to the annoyance.
- Admiration (weight 0.03): Players admire the game's beautiful art style, detailed animations, and music that have strong personality. The visuals are often described as wallpaper-worthy, showing the artists' dedication. The overall aesthetic quality is a standout feature.
- Relaxation (weight 0.02): The game's incredible style and calm gameplay make it ideal for relaxing evenings without constant stress. Players appreciate the ability to think without time pressure, creating a chill experience. The atmosphere supports unwinding while still offering engaging mechanics.
- Dissatisfaction (weight 0.01): Dissatisfaction arises because the end boss feels like a pure stat check rather than a test of skill. Character-based meta-progression limits class variety, reducing replayability. These issues undermine the strategic depth players expect.
- Pleasure (weight 0.01): Pleasure comes from the game's art design and music, which create a pleasant atmosphere. The overall experience is suitable for relaxed play sessions. Players find the game enjoyable without high stress.
- Love (weight 0.01): Players love the inventory mechanic, which is a central and engaging part of the gameplay. The hero designs and inventory visuals are highly appealing, enhancing attachment to the game. This feature is a key reason for positive sentiment.
- Confusion (weight 0.01): Confusion arises from unclear game mechanics, such as how the 'order' stat affects healing and armor. The unintuitive character facing direction during combat adds to the confusion. Players need better explanations for core systems.
- Hopelessness (weight 0.01): Hopelessness is felt because all progress is lost after a single party wipe against the final boss, making repeated attempts demoralizing. Permanent buffs are too expensive and slow to acquire, hindering progress. This creates a sense of futility.
- Helplessness (weight 0.01): Players feel helpless as the game is virtually unbeatable without specific mechanics like the Vampire ability. Being at the mercy of RNG for loot and events removes player agency. This reduces the sense of control over outcomes.
- Addiction (weight 0.01): The game is described as highly addicting, with players spending over 40 hours in the demo alone. The loot system and varied runs create strong engagement even without a successful run. The addictive loop keeps players coming back.
- Anger (weight 0.01): Anger is caused by first floor enemies having high dodge and crit chances, leading to unfair deaths. The risk-reward system feels unbalanced, as safe routes leave players underpowered while risky routes can give nothing. This creates a frustrating experience.
- Amusement (weight 0.01): Players find amusement in spending half their playtime in inventory management, treating it as a fun challenge. The tendency to low-ball dice rolls on desired items yet still attempt them adds self-deprecating humor. This lighthearted frustration is a source of entertainment.}
