Below are summaries of things people say about the game per category.
Each point is assigned a weight that represents how often it is mentioned across all reviews.
What players like:
- Fun, engaging heist gameplay (weight 0.97): The game delivers enjoyable, fast-paced heist gameplay with satisfying gunplay, often drawing favorable comparisons to the Payday series while offering improvements in accessibility, mechanics, and overall fun. Many reviewers feel it surpasses recent Payday entries. The game emphasizes action and strategy, with a blend of stealth and loud approaches.
- Campy, B-movie charm (weight 0.57): The game embraces a B-movie aesthetic with a star-studded cast, cheesy dialogue, and over-the-top scenarios. While the voice acting and story may be intentionally bad, they contribute to the game's unique charm and humorous tone. The game is enjoyable for those who appreciate its campy and self-aware nature.
- Active updates, good progression (weight 0.32): The game features a progression system with unlockables, ongoing updates, and responsive developers. The developers actively listen to feedback and implement improvements, adding new content and addressing issues. This ongoing support enhances replayability and demonstrates a commitment to the game's quality.
- Good single-player, co-op options (weight 0.29): The game offers a worthwhile single-player experience with a dedicated mode and balanced difficulty. The roguelite elements add replayability and challenge, while the multiplayer mode provides cooperative fun with friends. The game is also suitable for casual play in short bursts.
- Engaging roguelite campaign (weight 0.19): The game features a roguelite campaign that adds replayability and unique gameplay elements. The campaign combines different mission types, strategic choices, and resource management, creating a compelling and engaging experience. The roguelite format works surprisingly well, offering a fresh twist on the heist genre.
- Flexible and rewarding stealth (weight 0.14): The game offers flexible stealth mechanics, rewarding players for clean play while still allowing for action-oriented approaches. The absence of restrictive pager mechanics and the ability to holster weapons provide players with more freedom and control over their playstyle. Failing stealth doesn't automatically fail a mission, providing flexibility in approach.

Common complaints:
- Game plagued with numerous bugs (weight 0.78): The game is plagued with numerous bugs, including game-breaking issues, soft locks, crashes, and progress loss. These bugs occur frequently in both single-player and multiplayer modes, severely impacting gameplay and leading to frustration. Some reviewers noted that the game was borderline unplayable due to the sheer number of bugs.
- Poor AI hinders gameplay (weight 0.76): Many reviewers found the AI to be poorly designed, with teammates often getting stuck, ignoring commands, or running into enemy fire. This makes missions, especially stealth missions, much more difficult and frustrating. The AI issues are a recurring complaint, significantly impacting the overall gameplay experience.
- No mission restart or save (weight 0.73): The game lacks a mission restart or save function, forcing players to restart from the beginning upon death or failure. This is exacerbated by the roguelike elements, which can lead to significant progress loss and frustration. The absence of these basic features makes the game feel punishing and disrespectful of the player's time.
- Poor voice acting quality (weight 0.44): The voice acting is often criticized as being of poor quality, with some reviewers describing it as cringeworthy, phoned-in, or even AI-generated. Chuck Norris's performance, in particular, is frequently singled out for being monotone and uninspired. The poor voice acting detracts from the overall immersion and enjoyment of the game.
- Inferior to Payday series (weight 0.23): Many reviewers compare the game unfavorably to Payday 2 and 3, noting that it lacks the depth, complexity, and polish of those games. The game is often described as a cheap imitation or a simplified version of Payday, failing to capture the same engaging elements. Some reviewers recommend playing Payday instead.
- Inconsistent stealth/loud gameplay (weight 0.16): The game lacks clear indicators for whether a mission will be stealth or loud, leading to unpreparedness and frustration. Stealth mechanics are often described as flawed, buggy, or too easy, while loud missions can be overly difficult. This inconsistency makes it difficult to plan strategies and enjoy either playstyle.
- Lacks polish and depth (weight 0.13): The game is often described as unpolished, janky, and lacking in depth. Reviewers note that the story is uninspired, the characters are bland, and the music is unremarkable. These issues contribute to a feeling that the game is unfinished or rushed.
- Single-player campaign only (weight 0.13): The roguelite campaign is single-player only, limiting the experience and preventing players from enjoying it with friends. Many reviewers express a desire for a cooperative mode for the story, which would greatly enhance the game's appeal. The lack of co-op in the campaign is a significant disappointment for many players.
- Limited weapon customization options (weight 0.12): The game lacks meaningful weapon customization options, with players limited to pre-modded weapons or simple skins. This restricts player freedom and limits the ability to tailor weapons to specific playstyles. The absence of a proper weapon modification system is a significant letdown for many reviewers.
- Limited, repetitive heists (weight 0.11): The game has a limited number of heists, which become repetitive quickly. The heists are often described as generic and uninspired, lacking the depth and variety of other heist games. The low heist rewards and inconsistent difficulty levels further detract from the experience.
- Unsatisfying gunplay mechanics (weight 0.1): The gunplay feels dated and unsatisfying, with inaccurate weapons, bullet-sponge enemies, and a lack of impact. The shooting mechanics are often described as sluggish, unresponsive, or simply not fun. This detracts from the overall combat experience and makes gunfights feel lifeless.
- Broken stealth mechanics (weight 0.05): Stealth gameplay is often broken due to guards spotting the player through walls or over long distances. The AI's poor awareness and the finicky subdue prompts further contribute to the frustration. These issues make stealth feel unrealistic and unreliable.
- Inconsistent difficulty levels (weight 0.05): The game has fluctuating difficulty levels, with some missions feeling too easy while others are excessively difficult. This inconsistency makes it difficult to find a comfortable level of challenge and can lead to frustration. The lack of a proper difficulty selection further exacerbates the issue.

Gameplay feedback:
- Heists, turf wars, resource management (weight 0.63): The core gameplay loop revolves around completing heists to earn money, manage resources, and expand territory by fighting rival gangs. Missions vary in size and complexity, offering both stealth and loud approaches. The game shares similarities with PAYDAY, but with the addition of territory control and roguelite elements.
- Roguelite campaign with meta-progression (weight 0.39): The single-player campaign features roguelite mechanics, where death results in a campaign reset, but players retain permanent upgrades and experience gained across multiple runs. This meta-progression system encourages replayability and allows players to become stronger with each attempt to conquer the city.
- Simplified skill and stealth systems (weight 0.12): The game features a simple skill system and limited weapon customization, which may appeal to casual players but lack depth for those seeking variety. Stealth gameplay is optional and relatively forgiving, with a 3-strike system before detection.
- Territory control through combat (weight 0.11): Turf wars involve capturing and defending territories to generate income and weaken opponents. Players control soldiers in combat, with the game switching control to another soldier upon death.
- Unique characters, limited customization (weight 0.08): The game features unique characters with their own backstories and missions, but team member equipment cannot be changed. Players can hire new crew members with their own weapons and traits, and these members acquire experience after each mission.
- Varied difficulty, procedural levels (weight 0.06): The game offers modular difficulty settings and procedurally generated levels, increasing replay value. Success depends on wits and a good set of weapons, with no meta to playing at higher difficulties.
- Single-player resource management (weight 0.04): The single-player campaign involves smart resource management to capture the city. The single-player mode includes heists and a turf war system similar to GTA: San Andreas.
- Chuck Norris investigation mechanic (weight 0.03): The game features Chuck Norris as a sheriff who investigates the player, leading to arrest and game over if too much time passes or the player acts too conspicuously. Players can bribe or eliminate witnesses to reduce the investigation's progress.
- Limited weapon customization, progression unlocks (weight 0.03): Players can build an armory of guns, skins, and crew in multiplayer, but weapon customization is limited. The game features a leveling system where playing solo or multiplayer increases the account level, unlocking choices like weapon skins, boss skins, weapons, and characters.
- Randomized level-up rewards (weight 0.03): The progression system lets you choose between one of three randomly picked items each time you level up. Levelup rewards are RNG and give a random selection of new weapons, perks, or cosmetics.

Performance notes:
- Long loading times, large file size (weight 0.26): Many reviewers report long loading times that detract from the overall experience. This is further compounded by the game's large file size and demanding hardware requirements, making SSD installation highly recommended.
- Matchmaking and server issues (weight 0.02): Some players have reported issues with matchmaking, including failures to connect to lobbies and long waiting times. Additionally, server optimization may be needed, as many lobbies display yellow or red connection markers, although significant lag issues are not always experienced.
