    **The Story So Far...**
    -----------------------
The Great Strange- a zone in which supernatural phenomena occur at an abnormal rate, where echoes of other worlds and ethereal beings converge and contort reality.
A special military group known as "The Hayward" was formed to investigate and destroy the anomalies within The Strange. For years, the Hayward had done an admirable job of monitoring, handling, and reverse-engineering elements of the Great Strange into their work. Among these Hayward operatives is where your remains found new life.
You are Hayward Generation VII 81363-7, a corpse swathed in iron and arcane. Though a newer model, you are no guest to the Strange and a formidable veteran of its wilds.
Recently, the Great Strange has begun to rapidly expand- its phenomena intensifying to an unseen degree. Current leads suggest the involvement of Hayward Generation I "Avlan", whose disappearance synchronizes with the Strange’s sudden proliferation.
Mission Objective: Enter the mining village of Kozanoda where Avlan was last spotted and apprehend the missing Gen I.
Use of lethal force is authorized. Use of paranormal apparatus is authorized. Exercise extreme caution when confronting Avlan. Minimize injuries to civilians and infrastructure. Attempt capture where possible. Mission subject may be terminated if need be.

Common complaints:
- Significant Technical Issues (weight 0.46): The game suffers from numerous critical bugs, including progress-blocking menu freezes, severe performance drops even on high-end PCs, and crashes. Some issues, present in the demo, remain unfixed, indicating a lack of polish and readiness for release.
- Unsatisfying Boss Encounters (weight 0.28): Boss fights are criticized for being too easy, lacking strategic depth, and feeling 'squishy.' Some bosses are described as poorly made, and their attacks or mechanics are not clearly indicated, leading to frustrating or unengaging experiences.
- Inconsistent and Missing Music (weight 0.22): Players frequently report that background music does not play consistently or loops poorly, leading to silent areas and a diminished atmosphere. This issue significantly detracts from the intended audio experience.
- Poor Control Customization (weight 0.19): Players report issues with control remapping, including being unable to bind actions, getting stuck in menus after remapping, and a lack of clear controller binding tutorials. This makes the game potentially unplayable for some controller users.
- Lack of Clear Explanations (weight 0.13): Several core game mechanics, such as the energy system, weapon skills, and general control schemes, are not adequately explained. This leaves players confused about how to progress or utilize game features effectively.
- Inconsistent Difficulty and Level Design (weight 0.08): Players note inconsistent difficulty spikes, particularly in specific levels, and criticize some areas for feeling like 'walking simulators.' The presence of 'lazy invisible walls' also detracts from level design quality.
- Unrewarding Exploration (weight 0.06): The game lacks worthwhile exploration value, as players find no significant rewards, collectibles, or secret items. This diminishes the incentive to explore the environment.

Gameplay feedback:

This hub allows players to travel to five different worlds in a non-linear fashion, offering freedom in exploration and story progression.
- Souls-like & Old-School Shooter Elements (weight 0.19): The game blends elements of old-school arena shooters, reminiscent of Doom or Ultrakill, with Souls-like influences such as punishing difficulty, bonfire-like save points, and static enemy HP in a hub-based world structure.

- Minor Gameplay Mechanics (weight 0.09): Players start with a basic loadout including a pistol, sword, mana gourd, and a bat-vulture companion. Healing is provided by a living doll, with additional charges obtainable. The player also has a dash ability.
- NPC Voice & Tutorial Issues (weight 0.07): NPCs make distinct sounds and seem to speak unique languages, adding to the atmosphere. However, tutorials only display mouse and keyboard controls, which is unhelpful for controller users.
- Unexpected Enemy Spawns (weight 0.03): Some players noted that monsters can appear silently around corners, leading to unexpected encounters.

- Performance optimization needed (weight 0.07): Some players resort to third-party tools or deep engine settings adjustments to achieve desired frame rates, indicating a need for better in-game optimization. This suggests the game's performance isn't consistently meeting player expectations out-of-the-box.
