- Top-tier Metroidvania experience (weight 0.16): The game is celebrated as one of the best in the Metroidvania genre, with tight platforming, fluid exploration, and a well-structured map that encourages discovery without excessive backtracking.

Common complaints:
- Inferior to predecessor in key areas (weight 0.72): The game is frequently compared unfavorably to its predecessor, with weaker story, music, art style, and atmosphere. Players felt it lacked the uniqueness, emotional impact, and polish of the first game.
- Weak and fragmented storytelling (weight 0.68): The story is criticized for being impersonal, confusing, and lacking emotional depth compared to the predecessor. Many players noted unresolved plot points, abrupt endings, and underdeveloped characters, reducing immersion.
- Unbalanced and unfair combat mechanics (weight 0.6): Combat suffers from poor balancing, including excessive enemy damage, lack of invincibility frames, and unfair boss mechanics. Players reported frustration with one-shot mechanics, inconsistent hitboxes, and poorly designed enemy attacks.
- Repetitive and uninspired boss fights (weight 0.54): Bosses are criticized for being too easy, repetitive, or poorly designed. Many lack memorable identity, rely on unfair mechanics (e.g., instant-kill attacks), and fail to challenge players meaningfully.
- Confusing and frustrating map design (weight 0.47): The map is described as convoluted, with excessive backtracking, unclear teleportation mechanics, and poor organic connectivity. Players struggled with navigation, especially in mid-to-late game areas.
- Clunky movement and controls (weight 0.37): Movement feels slower and less responsive than the first game, with clunky jumps, dashes, and parry mechanics. Late-game mobility upgrades (e.g., super jump) are locked too long, limiting exploration.
- Poorly balanced late-game content (weight 0.36): Late-game areas suffer from difficulty spikes, excessive enemy density, and unbalanced abilities. Some skills are ineffective, while others break combat balance, making progression frustrating.
- Short and rushed gameplay experience (weight 0.12): The game is perceived as too short (20-25 hours), with a rushed end-game and sparse save points. Some areas feel incomplete or lack the depth and magic of the original.
- Lack of invincibility frames (weight 0.1): The absence of invincibility frames after taking damage leads to frustrating chain reactions, especially with high-damage enemies or environmental hazards like poison clouds.
- Overuse of enemies and mechanics (weight 0.07): Certain enemy types and mechanics (e.g., conveyor belts, turrets) are overused, disrupting exploration and combat flow. Some areas feel artificially difficult due to excessive enemy density.

Gameplay feedback:
- Metroidvania exploration structure (weight 0.42): The game adopts a Metroidvania-style progression with ability-gated paths, backtracking, and hidden secrets. Exploration is incentivized by unlockable skills (e.g., double jump, wall climbing) and a detailed map system.
- Customizable difficulty settings (weight 0.38): Players frequently highlight the ability to adjust difficulty via presets (Easy, Normal, Hard) or custom sliders (e.g., enemy HP, damage, attack frequency). This flexibility caters to both casual and hardcore players, addressing balancing concerns.
- Skill and build variety (weight 0.3): Players appreciate the diverse skill trees, equipment (e.g., relics, homunculi), and customizable loadouts, enabling unique playstyles. However, some skills are criticized for lacking versatility in main attacks.
- Enemy and encounter design flaws (weight 0.09): While some enemies introduce creative mechanics (e.g., electric attacks), others are criticized for repetitive placement, scripted behaviors, or unfair projectile spam.
- Removed collision damage (weight 0.08): A quality-of-life improvement where damage from colliding with enemy models is removed, except for specific attribute-based enemies. This reduces frustration during combat.
- Cooldown-based skill system (weight 0.08): Skills now use cooldowns instead of limited uses, allowing unlimited attacks and simpler ability management. This change is praised for reducing resource micromanagement.
- Mobility-enhancing abilities (weight 0.08): New movement mechanics (e.g., double jump, dash, wall climbing) improve traversal and combat fluidity. These abilities are often tied to exploration and platforming sections.
- Multiple endings and replayability (weight 0.07): The game features dual or multiple endings, optional exploration for secrets, and achievements that encourage replayability. Some endings require specific challenges or collectibles.

- Completionist content engagement (weight 0.01): A subset of players completed extensive non-achievement content, such as maxing out levels, collecting all items, and upgrading relics. This reflects dedication but may also imply a desire for more meaningful endgame challenges.

Emotions:
- Frustration (weight 0.19): Players frequently cite unfair or poorly designed boss mechanics, including inconsistent hitboxes, lack of invincibility frames, and one-shot attacks, as major sources of frustration.
