About the Game
==============
Beach Invasion 1945-Pacific is a World War II FPS game in which players defend fortified Pacific island beaches from invading armies of troops, tanks, and planes. Use a variety of iconic and authentic weapons from the United States and Imperial Japan of World War II, including machine guns, naval guns, and anti-aircraft guns. Fortify your defenses with mines, explosive barrels, artillery fire, and weapon up grades!
Beach Invasion 1945-Pacific, the sequel to Beach Invasion 1944, also adds for the first time the option to play co-op multiplayer with your friends. Players take on the role of American or Japanese soldiers manning machine guns and turrets to protect tropical islands of the Pacific. During these huge amphibious and airborne operations, the player's mission is to destroy as many invading forces as possible with the help of several machine guns, anti-aircraft guns, naval gun nests and bonuses from supply drops.
Choose from two factions and four maps: Take over the Japanese defenses on the Pacific islands of Iwo Jima and Peleliu, or the American defenses at Manila Bay in the Philippines and Attu Island in Alaska.
Hardcore action in an immersive World War II setting with realistic sounds and special effects. Relive memorable and epic moments from your favorite World War II movies and TV series. Non-stop action with continuous naval and airborne attacks in changing weather conditions day and night.
A wide variety of enemies will appear, including marines, flamethrowers, rocket launchers, warships, transports, tanks, amphibious vehicles, fighters, bombers, and more. You can unleash mortar attacks and rain destruction on your enemies!
Obtain temporary upgrades for your weapons, including poison gas, armor-piercing shells, explosives, and incendiary bombs. Combined, they create even more powerful upgrades.
Fortify your defenses with anti-personnel mines, anti-tank mines, and explosive gun barrels.
You can earn medals by completing various actions as you progress.

- Hardware Profile: No data
Feature extractions:
- Community Price:
  - Community fair range: $5.00 - $15.00
  - Reasoning: The reviews consistently treat the base game as enjoyable but not worth full price. Positive comments are usually conditional on buying it on sale, at a deep discount, or as a cheap sub-game purchase. Complaints about limited maps, replayability, and one-time playthrough value further push the community's fair price downward. The Japanese 'one coin' framing suggests a low-cost purchase, while the German review explicitly calls the game too expensive for its replay value. Together, this supports a fair base-game range of roughly $5 to $15.
- Playtime Metrics:
  - Game completion: 13.0h
  - Story completion: N/A
  - Session length: 0.5h
  - Endgame: 50.0h
  - Reasoning: The Chinese review reports reaching wave 20 after about 13 hours across the game's six maps, which supports an approximate game-completion milestone of 13 hours. The Japanese review explicitly recommends about 15-30 minutes per session, so session length is set to roughly 0.5 hours. A separate review references an in-game achievement for spending 50 hours, and another notes replayability only for achievements, supporting an endgame grind estimate of about 50 hours. Story completion is null because one review states the game has no story and is just level-by-level play. Confidence is moderate due to conflicting shorter playtime impressions elsewhere.
- Time-to-fun:
  - Summary: Players report immediate mindless arcade fun and a satisfying short-burst wave-defense loop, especially in co-op, but the experience becomes repetitive and predictable over longer sessions.
  - Stance: Fun then drops
  - Anchor: Playing co-op with a friend
  - Time to anchor: N/A
  - Friction: No tutorial; players must work out the coastal posts and weapons themselves.; No active player base; multiplayer or co-op is impossible without friends.; Sandbox co-op has no progression and only one pre-defined wave.; Wave-based combat repeats the same actions with few variations.; No campaign structure, story progression, or significant objective variation.; Shop items are hard to obtain.
  - Unlock drivers: Playing co-op with a friend adds flavor, intensity, and enjoyment.; Quick developer fixes resolve co-op connection problems.; Custom sandbox difficulty setup supports a tailored experience.; Low learning curve makes the game easy to get into despite no tutorial.; Mastery through learning enemy patterns and improving reaction times supports arcade enjoyment.
  - Conditions: Enjoyment is best in short bursts.; Playing with friends or in co-op improves the experience.; Having friends available is necessary because public co-op is unplayable.; Players must enjoy pure mechanical combat and score-chasing.; Preference for old-school arcade and wave defense over campaign or story.; Tolerance for repetition and predictability over longer sessions.; Good coordination among multiplayer players improves the atmosphere.; Starting co-op at wave one and leveling together would improve progression.

- Better than the first (weight 0.11): Some reviewers feel this installment is better than the original. However, a few others believe the first version was much better.

Common complaints:
- Repetitive Gameplay Loop (weight 0.91): Players widely report that the game becomes repetitive and boring quickly, with samey waves and lack of variety. This is the most frequent complaint across many clusters.
- Graphics Blurriness and Optimization (weight 0.82): Players complain about blurry, murky graphics that make it hard to discern targets, as well as poor optimization causing low FPS and stuttering. High settings can also strain systems.
- Weapon Uselessness and Imbalance (weight 0.76): Many weapons feel useless or underpowered, with issues like slow reload, poor damage, and lack of upgrade paths. This makes unlocking and using them unrewarding.
- Targeting and Aiming Difficulties (weight 0.61): Aiming is difficult due to rough hitbox detection, spongy targeting, slow turret movement, and poor optics. Players struggle to hit enemies and discern targets.
- Poor Night Visibility (weight 0.61): Night missions suffer from extremely poor visibility, making it nearly impossible to see enemies or aim. Flares and illumination rounds further obscure vision.
- Lack of Progression and Content (weight 0.59): The game lacks story, campaign structure, and meaningful progression, with limited maps and modes. Many feel it's just endless waves with no objective variation.
- Map and Environment Issues (weight 0.57): Some maps have poor visibility, blurry objects, and impractical weapon placements. Obstacles like trees and buildings block firing lines, and some objects cannot be destroyed.
- Crashes and Technical Bugs (weight 0.51): Frequent crashes, menu glitches, achievement bugs, and other technical issues severely impact playability. Some players spend more time troubleshooting than playing.
- Enemy AI Problems (weight 0.43): Enemy AI is often dumb, gets stuck on terrain, and doesn't advance properly. Some enemies ignore player weapons or attack out of range.
- Performance and Optimization (weight 0.43): Game is poorly optimized, causing stuttering, low FPS, and high GPU usage. High graphics settings can destroy weaker PCs.
- AI Teammates and Weapon Management (weight 0.41): AI teammates are bad, and managing multiple weapons alone is overwhelming. Idle weapons have low kill efficiency and are easily destroyed.
- Co-op and Multiplayer Issues (weight 0.36): Co-op is unplayable due to no active player base, and even with friends, progression is limited. Multiplayer lacks players and features like starting from wave one.
- Controls and UI Problems (weight 0.35): Controls cannot be changed, weapon switching is cumbersome, and menu glitches prevent clicking. Mouse cannot reach all buttons, and resolution settings cause issues.
- Enemy Waves and Difficulty Spikes (weight 0.32): Waves become grindy and overly long after around wave 20, with massive enemy numbers. Difficulty increases unfairly due to poor visibility and weapon limitations.
- Lack of Variety in Maps and Factions (weight 0.31): Faction and map changes feel the same, with only weather and time of day varying. US maps are considered worse than Japanese ones.
- Weapon Upgrade Limitations (weight 0.27): Weapons cannot be upgraded, leading to increasing boredom and making unlocks feel pointless. High point requirements force grinding for heavy weapons.
- Lack of Story and Campaign (weight 0.27): No story mode, just repetitive arcade-style waves. The campaign is not elaborated enough, and there is no narrative context.
- Weak Audio and Animations (weight 0.27): Audio is weak, with reused sound effects from the first game and mismatched gun sounds. Animations are awful, and machine guns lack impact.
- Developer and Community Issues (weight 0.22): Developers silence criticism and permaban for questions, and the discussions section is empty. Some players request refunds due to poor value.

Emotions:
- Frustration (weight 0.32): Players are frustrated by poor visibility in dark night levels and blurry maps like Alaska, which make it impossible to spot or hit enemies. Technical issues such as crashes, lag, input lag, and frame drops further degrade the experience. Additionally, weapon limitations, slow reloads, and ineffective AI contribute to the frustration.
- Disappointment (weight 0.27): Disappointment stems from a lack of levels, story, and progression, making the game feel repetitive and shallow. Graphics are muddy and dark, with poor visibility and useless weapons, especially on American maps. Many feel it's a step back from the original, with reused assets and empty co-op.
- Enjoyment (weight 0.21): Players enjoy the fast-paced, wave-based defense gameplay, especially when mowing down enemies and blowing up tanks. The co-op mode and Pacific Theater setting add to the fun, with expanded content from DLC. The game is praised for its arcade mechanics and satisfying combat.
- Boredom (weight 0.17): Boredom arises from highly repetitive gameplay that becomes apparent after just a couple of hours. Endless waves and static scenarios offer little variety, and modes get old quickly. The lack of weapon upgrades and low enemy spawn frequency further reduce engagement.
- Satisfaction (weight 0.13): Satisfaction comes from using powerful weapons to mow down waves of enemies and building defenses with a variety of WWII weapons and upgrades. The core loop of defending against increasingly large waves is rewarding, especially in short bursts. The atmosphere and visuals for the price point also contribute to the satisfaction.
- Fun (weight 0.09): Fun is derived from playing with different weapons and map/weather combinations, as well as the mindless old-school shooting gameplay. Defending against invasions and using a wide variety of weapons, including machine guns, tanks, and artillery, adds to the enjoyment. The game offers a fun, wave-based experience.
- Excitement (weight 0.08): Excitement is generated by the fun shoot-em-up gameplay and co-op, which amplifies the sense of scale and intensity. Overwhelming enemy quantities and explosive visual effects create thrilling moments, especially when juggling airborne and ground threats. The idea of commanding Japanese forces also adds to the excitement.
- Nostalgia (weight 0.07): Nostalgia is evoked by reminders of childhood gaming experiences, such as Call of Duty: World at War missions and arcade games like Beachhead. The game brings back memories of simpler times in the late 2000s and games played at malls in the 90s. It also reminds players of Battlefield Bad Company 2's first mission.
- Appreciation (weight 0.07): Appreciation is felt for the game's unique focus on machine gun turrets, autocannons, and large-caliber field guns, which sets it apart from typical shooters. Responsive developers who quickly fix issues and balance the game are also valued. The authentic WWII setting and accurate Japanese weapons enhance the experience.
- Dissatisfaction (weight 0.07): Dissatisfaction is caused by blurry graphics that make it hard to see distant enemies, and shooting feels bland due to machine guns lacking impact. Weapon placements on some maps are impractical, and weapons without AI are ineffective and easily destroyed, making unlocking them pointless. The weapons also feel unrealistic and unsatisfying.
- Enthusiasm (weight 0.04): Enthusiasm is driven by the game's great graphics and fitting locations, making it worth the time. The unique setting and improvements over the previous game, along with ongoing updates and upcoming DLC like Pearl Harbor, generate excitement. Players also praise and recommend specific weapons like the Japanese 120mm gun.
- Amusement (weight 0.03): Amusement comes from the game being a fun, mindless way to pass time, with humorous moments like enemies waiting on the beach doing nothing. This lighthearted and entertaining aspect provides casual enjoyment.
- Interest (weight 0.03): Interest is sparked by the game being very interesting for a couple of evenings, and shooting BOT enemies is quite engaging. The unique gameplay and setting capture players' curiosity.
- Relaxation (weight 0.03): Relaxation is achieved through fun and stress-free beach defending gameplay, where obliterating enemies attacking defenses provides a calming and enjoyable experience. The simple, repetitive action helps players unwind.
- Annoyance (weight 0.03): Annoyance is caused by a horrid dirty texture on the sight that makes targeting difficult, and getting only 80-90 FPS on a mid-to-high system, which detracts from the experience. These technical and visual issues hinder gameplay.
- Gratitude (weight 0.03): Gratitude is expressed for the developers going straight to the point and meeting player requests, such as balancing achievement waves. Their responsiveness and direct approach are appreciated.
- Aesthetic fatigue (weight 0.01): Aesthetic fatigue results from repetitive gameplay after level 10, with only enemy numbers and weather changing. The lack of visual and gameplay variety leads to a sense of monotony.
- Catharsis (weight 0.01): Catharsis is experienced through mindlessly pulling the trigger and destroying overwhelming enemy forces, providing a release of tension and stress. The chaotic action offers a therapeutic effect.
- Drowsiness (weight 0.01): Drowsiness is induced by monotonous repetitive basic operations during long play sessions, making the game feel tedious and sleep-inducing. The lack of engaging variation contributes to this feeling.
- Gladness (weight 0.01): Gladness arises from the American Theatre being represented as a unique WWII setting, which players find refreshing and enjoyable. The distinct perspective adds to their positive experience.}
