ALONE OR ALLIED…
----------------
You can explore the altered zone on your own for a tense and atmospheric solo experience, or join forces with a friend in two-player co-op to take on missions together. Both modes share the same gameplay and story, so you can experience the full journey however you prefer. Communication is key, and proximity voice chat lets you coordinate or warn each other in real time while navigating each mission. Once you complete the tutorial mission, you can host a co-op session and head into the Radius with a friend.
…THOSE WHO MASTER THEIR ARSENAL…
--------------------------------
In Into the Radius 2, every weapon is built with realistic detail and distinct handling. A wide range of classic and modern firearms can be customized as full builds or part‑by‑part to suit the way you play. The modular weapon system lets you swap and combine barrels, stocks, handguards, optics, and other attachments until the setup feels right, whether you lean toward mobility, control, or precision.
Weapon maintenance is an essential part of survival. Every firearm in the game deteriorates over time, and if you don’t keep it clean and in good condition, it can jam or fail at the worst possible moment. To stay reliable in the field, you need to monitor the state of your weapons and perform regular cleaning and maintenance, so your gear won’t let you down when you need it most.
This hands‑on control over your weapons carries over to the rest of your gear. Chest rigs, armor vests, and backpacks can be used as pre‑configured setups or arranged from scratch. Pouches and holsters can be placed exactly where you want them and adjusted to the angle that feels most natural, giving you a loadout tailored to both your playstyle and your comfort.
You can also change the look of your equipment with the spray paint system. Repaint backpacks, vests, pouches, magazines, attachments, weapon parts, helmets, the tablet, and even the Explorer’s Uniform. Use solid colors for a clean finish or layer camouflage patterns across different pieces of gear to create a look of your own.
…MAY ENDURE THE SHADOWS OF THE RADIUS
-------------------------------------
The Radius is filled with hostile entities born from distortion, each with unique behavior, movement, and weaknesses. You will encounter Mimics that stalk the fog in eerie human form, their types defined by unique weapons, tactics, and strategies. Also you will face distorted Fragments that rush at you without fear, their invisible Phantom variants that only reveal themselves if you stay completely focused, and elusive Creeps emerging from rifts in reality, fragile yet dangerous in numbers.
Mimics approach combat intelligently. They search for you instead of firing blindly, take cover under pressure, and change positions or rebuild ambushes when they lose the advantage. At close range, they become more aggressive, adjusting accuracy, timing, and firing mode depending on the situation. Enemies react consistently to what they can see and hear, noticing flashlights and laser sights if you use them nearby.
Beyond enemies, you will face a variety of anomalies. Some explode into shrapnel on contact, others build charge and release an electric shock, suppress all nearby light sources, or attach themselves to you before detonating for extra damage. Certain types trigger powerful electric bursts when entered, and others violently push you away while dealing damage.
Distortion Zones pose an even greater threat, dealing severe damage every second you’re inside them. To move through these zones safely, you’ll need special anti‑distortion headgear.
The Radius changes with time, from day to night and from one Tide cycle to the next. The Tide is a recurring in-world event that resets each location, though every area follows its own schedule. Some tidal anomalies remain untouched by the Tide, and within them, Explorers can find shelters to prepare and wait out the reset.
To survive, you must adapt your tactics, stay aware of light and sound, and use your surroundings wisely. Every encounter in the Radius tests your precision, focus, and instinct.
