Players appreciate the enhanced graphics, smoother gameplay, and numerous quality-of-life changes, making it a superior and more polished experience.
- Engaging & Addictive Gameplay (weight 0.85): The core gameplay loop, involving making sundaes and managing the shop, is consistently described as fun, engaging, and addictive. Players enjoy the job simulation aspect, the balance of relaxation and challenge, and the variety of orders and ingredients, which keeps the experience fresh.
- Appreciated Steam Release (weight 0.82): Players are extremely happy and grateful for the game's release on Steam, especially after the discontinuation of Flash Player. This port is seen as a successful effort to preserve beloved childhood games and make them accessible to a wider audience, often at a fair price.

Common complaints:
- Repetitive gameplay and low difficulty (weight 0.17): Many players find the core gameplay loop, music, and mini-games become highly repetitive and monotonous after a few hours of play. The game's difficulty also plateaus too early, leading to a lack of challenge and excitement, especially for those seeking a deeper or more involved experience.
- Grindy 100% completion and franchise comparisons (weight 0.07): Players report that achieving 100% completion is a tedious and frustrating grind, often requiring extensive replays and leading to burnout. This is exacerbated by the game's perceived lower quality and slower pace compared to other Papa's games, with many wishing for more of the franchise's titles on Steam at a more reasonable price.
- Unforgiving topping mechanics and stress (weight 0.04): Players frequently express frustration with the precision required for topping placement, leading to unfair score deductions and low tips. The overall experience can be stressful and rage-inducing due to clunky mechanics, demanding speed, and the constant influx of customer orders, some with 'weird' combinations.
- Lack of language and platform support (weight 0.04): A significant number of players are requesting broader language support, particularly for Chinese, Portuguese, and Russian. The current lack of these options limits accessibility and enjoyment for a large portion of the potential player base. Additionally, the game's unavailability on Mac, mobile, and tablets is a point of concern for some.
- Limited content and short lifespan (weight 0.03): The game's lifespan is considered short, effectively ending once all achievements or gold-level customers are reached, with a lack of meaningful progression or new content. Players desire more shop upgrades, customer interaction features (like bios or satisfaction levels), and greater freedom in free-play mode.
- Technical issues and outdated graphics (weight 0.02): Some players report minor technical issues like lag or performance drops, and the 30 FPS cap can negatively impact the experience, especially in mini-games.
