Common complaints:
- Frequent & Game-Breaking Bugs (weight 0.86): The game is plagued by numerous bugs, ranging from minor glitches to severe issues like soft-locks, save file corruption, being flung off the map, and infinite falling loops, often forcing restarts.
- Repetitive & Uninspired Gameplay (weight 0.82): Many players feel the game lacks creativity and innovation, borrowing heavily from other titles. The overall experience is described as bland and average, failing to provide a unique or engaging hook.
- Severe Performance & Optimization Issues (weight 0.71): Players report widespread and critical performance problems, including frequent stuttering, frame drops, and occasional freezes, even on high-end hardware. Optimization is described as disastrous, significantly hindering the gameplay experience.
- Audio & UI Issues (weight 0.68): The game suffers from unbalanced audio, with voices and music often being too low. Additionally, the user interface has general issues, and lip-syncing for voice acting is uneven.
- Unnatural Aiming & Camera Controls (weight 0.61): Players report difficulties with aiming due to high mouse sensitivity, abstract aiming assistance, and an automatic aiming mechanism that feels unnatural. The inability to invert the lightgun camera independently also causes issues.
- Poor Visuals & Outdated Aesthetics (weight 0.61): The game's graphics are considered unrefined and outdated, with issues like poor lighting, lack of shadows, and rough scene textures. The protagonist's character model is also criticized as ugly and misleading compared to promotional art.
- Short Length & Low Content Value (weight 0.29): The game is perceived as too short for its price, with casual playthroughs being significantly shorter than developer claims. This contributes to a feeling of low value, especially given the average story depth.

- Story Premise Mentioned (weight 0.03): The story's premise involves the protagonist's genes being affected by corruption after a crash landing. This is a factual point about the narrative setup, not a critique.

Gameplay feedback:
- Unique Morphing Abilities (weight 1): A core and highly praised mechanic is the ability to absorb DNA from defeated alien creatures, granting temporary, stackable powers like flight, grappling hooks, or time manipulation. These abilities are crucial for both exploration and combat, making each level feel distinct.
- Dynamic Combat System (weight 0.88): The game features a fluid combat system that blends ranged firearms with melee attacks, encouraging players to combine them for combos and movement. Weapons have unique properties, such as cooldowns that can be reset by melee, and there's an auto-aim feature for controllers.
- Exploration and Progression (weight 0.76): Players explore a corrupted alien planet, purifying corruption cores and collecting resources for character and weapon enhancements. The game guides progression through ability unlocking and features a central 'Spire Hub' where players return after each level, losing temporary abilities but retaining permanent upgrades.

- Varied Level Design (weight 0.62): Levels are self-contained, well-designed, and varied, often introducing new mechanics or puzzles that leverage the temporary morphing abilities. The game incorporates Metroidvania-like map design principles, with exploration hubs and a forgiving checkpoint system.
