About the Game
==============
A mysterious story of a mysterious dream ...
This is a story about one of the adventures Sophie the Alchemist had after she left her hometown of Kirchen Bell. It is centered around Sophie's quest of searching for Plachta after they are separated in a dream world of Erde Wiege, and the new friends they meet there.
Main features:
\- Evolved Seamless Turn-Based Battles
This game incorporates new multi-link turn battles that feature six party members divided in two teams and begin seamlessly when players encounter enemies while exploring. The combat experience is enriched by a multitude of special effects and actions, including special Dual Trigger skills that involve two of the team members attacking in unison.
\- Two Types of the Panel-Based Synthesis
This game features an accessible puzzle-like synthesis system where you place ingredients on a panel to create new items. Players can choose to use either the Standard Panel or the Restricted Panel, which will increase both the difficulty level and the rewards.
\- Manipulate the Weather to Open New Paths
While each region of Erde Wiege has fixed weather, you will be able to change this with the help of special tools. Changing the weather will allow you to not only change the scenery when visiting the same area but also gain access to new, previously inaccessible places. Perhaps the weather will affect even the materials you can collect?
Note:
Please visit the official website for more information.
Please beware that the main game is currently also available for purchase in the "Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream Digital Deluxe Edition" set and "Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream Ultimate Edition" set.

Feature scans:
- Wiki: score 50; verdict: Wiki-Dependent Student; summary: User feedback shows significant reliance on external Wiki due to incomplete in-game material information and hidden quest outcomes, compounded by confusing map navigation. A positive comment notes the improved encyclopedia as a helpful step.
- Proton/Linux: score 5; verdict: No widespread Linux issues; summary: The provided reviews contain no significant Linux/Proton compatibility feedback. One review mentions crashes on Steam Deck (SD), but this is an isolated report and does not represent a consensus of Linux users.
- Steam Deck: score 85; verdict: Broken - Frequent Crashes and Freezes on Steam Deck; summary: The majority of Steam Deck reviews report game-breaking freezes on loading screens, frequent crashes, memory issues, and the need for community patches. While the game runs acceptably on some PC configurations, the Steam Deck experience is severely degraded and often unplayable without significant tinkering.

- Hardware Profile: No data
Feature extractions:
- Community Price:
  - Community fair range: $28.00 - $40.00
  - Reasoning: The community perceives the current base-game price ($59.99 / 349 RMB) as too high, with a specific reviewer suggesting 200 RMB (~$28) as a fair price. Multiple reviews describe the game as overpriced, recommend waiting for discounts, and express that the full price is not justified by the content. Therefore, a fair price range is estimated between $28 (the suggested reasonable price) and $40 (a threshold below the overly expensive $48.5 price point), reflecting community sentiment for a lower cost.
- Playtime Metrics:
  - Game completion: N/A
  - Story completion: 58.0h
  - Session length: N/A
  - Endgame: N/A
  - Reasoning: Evidence shows multiple reported playtimes for story completion. One clear English review states about 58 hours to finish the game, which likely corresponds to main story completion. Another Chinese review reports 78 hours at clear, but notes special circumstances (making a guide). A third review indicates being halfway at 21 hours, implying roughly 42 hours for full story, though this is less precise. The fourth review cites 130 total hours with heavy crafting time, but does not specify story completion. Given the most direct and unambiguous claim is 58 hours for finishing, I treat that as storyCompletion. No reliable data exists for gameCompletion (all achievements), sessionLength, or endgame, so those are set to null.
- Time-to-fun:

Repetitive voice lines during alchemy and technical problems like stuttering also add to the irritation.

Technical issues like incorrect Xbox controller icons and crashes after lengthy alchemy sessions also anger players.
