This roguelike-esque mechanic allows for intricate specializations and offers quick, impactful boosts to player capabilities, keeping gameplay fresh and engaging.

Common complaints:
- Multiplayer Broken and Dead (weight 0.99): The game suffers from a critically low player count, making matchmaking difficult or impossible, especially for a title designed for co-op. Multiplayer is further hindered by severe lag, disconnections, poor netcode, and a host-migration system that causes progress loss when the host leaves. The absence of in-game voice or text chat exacerbates communication problems in co-op.
- Repetitive, Unengaging Gameplay (weight 0.94): Players find the core gameplay loop quickly becomes repetitive and boring, particularly during solo play which is often described as tedious and punishing due to poor scaling and objective design. There is a perceived lack of content, map variety, and meaningful progression, making the game feel not worth its price.
- Critical Technical Problems (weight 0.72): Many players report severe technical issues including poor optimization, frequent crashes, game-breaking bugs, and overall low visual fidelity with janky animations. These problems make the game feel unfinished and often unplayable, leading to lost progress and significant frustration.
- Clunky Movement and Collisions (weight 0.24): Player movement is frequently described as clunky and floaty, with constant issues of getting stuck on environmental objects, corners, and even enemies. This creates frustration and disrupts gameplay, particularly during combat or navigation.
- Lacks Original Identity (weight 0.15): Many players feel the game is a cheap and blatant copy of Call of Duty Zombies, borrowing mechanics without understanding what made the original appealing. It is often seen as a less polished, less fun version that fails to establish its own unique identity.

Gameplay feedback:
- CoD Zombies-inspired gameplay (weight 0.5): The game's core loop strongly resembles Call of Duty Zombies, featuring round-based horde survival, points for kills, buying perks, and opening doors. Players will find familiar mechanics from games like Black Ops, with additional elements reminiscent of Killing Floor.
- Puzzles and map objectives (weight 0.26): Each of the 6 maps features puzzles and objectives that progress the story, such as collecting items, activating objects, or defending zones. Map areas are unlocked by spending in-game currency, leading to exploration and eventual boss fights.
- Multiple difficulty options (weight 0.11): The game offers 5 difficulty modes, allowing players to scale the challenge from casual to very hard. Players can choose between following story objectives or an endurance-style play, available in Quick Match, Private, or Solo modes.
- Multi-tiered weapon upgrades (weight 0.11): Weapons can be upgraded multiple times at dedicated stations, with costs increasing significantly for higher tiers. The 'Pack-a-Punch' mechanic, familiar from CoD Zombies, allows weapons to be upgraded up to 5 times for increased damage and special effects.
- Upgradeable character perks (weight 0.08): A perk system allows players to acquire and upgrade up to 7 perks (e.g., health, reload speed) that provide passive abilities. Perk effects strengthen over time, and upgrades carry over between runs, contributing to persistent character progression.
- Roguelike Miracle abilities (weight 0.08): The 'Miracle' system introduces roguelike elements, offering random power-up cards with various effects like elemental damage or ability cooldowns. These abilities can be upgraded and come in different rarities, adding a dynamic layer to each run.
- Scaling enemy difficulty (weight 0.07): Enemies dynamically scale in health, damage, and quantity with each wave, becoming progressively stronger. New and tougher enemy types, including specific ranged units and mini-bosses, are introduced as players advance.
- Varied weapon selection (weight 0.07): The game features a diverse arsenal of over 20 weapons, including pistols, shotguns, rifles, melee weapons, and unique 'wonder weapons'. Players start with a basic pistol and earn points from kills to acquire better firearms.
- Points-based economy (weight 0.06): Players earn points by defeating enemies, which serve as the primary in-game currency. These points are essential for purchasing new weapons, ammunition, power-ups, character perks, and unlocking new areas and doors on the map.
- Maid of Sker universe (weight 0.05): The game is set within the Maid of Sker universe, serving as a spiritual successor. This connection brings unique enemy types, 'wonder weapons', and bosses that tie into the established lore and setting.
- Co-operative multiplayer (weight 0.05): The game is designed as a co-op experience for up to four players, though solo play is an option. Reviewers suggest that replayability and enjoyment are significantly enhanced when playing with friends.
- Cosmetic progression system (weight 0.05): An experience point (EXP) system allows players to unlock cosmetic items like masks and character icons through a battle pass. Weapon skins are also available based on individual weapon usage, encouraging ongoing engagement.
- Steep initial challenge (weight 0.04): New players can expect to lose frequently at the beginning due to the game's increased difficulty and lack of hand-holding. However, players are rewarded regardless of victory, easing the learning process.

Performance notes:
- Inconsistent Performance & Crashes (weight 0.24): Many players experience severe frame rate drops, stuttering, and frequent crashes, particularly at higher settings or on non-60Hz monitors. While some report smooth performance, others with high-end PCs face issues, indicating poor optimization and inconsistent stability across various hardware configurations. Loading times, however, are generally not an issue.
- Co-op Latency & Visual Glitches (weight 0.15): Multiplayer co-op specifically suffers from jarring lag, microstutters, and visual glitches for both enemies and teammates. There's also reported latency in killing monsters, indicating a poor co-op experience distinct from general server stability.
- Critical Network & Server Issues (weight 0.1): Players frequently report shots not registering, significant delays in hit detection, server disconnections, and data loss. This leads to frustrating and unplayable online experiences, especially for those with weaker connections. While some regions (e.g., US East, Japan) report fewer issues, many still point to the game's network code rather than their own internet.
- Input Issues & Forced Controls (weight 0.03): Players experience issues like keyboard inputs being ignored after alt-tabbing. The game also forces mouse acceleration/smoothing by default and exhibits negative acceleration at lower turning speeds, leading to uncomfortable and inconsistent aiming controls.
- Minor Gameplay & Animation Bugs (weight 0.03): Some minor bugs are reported, such as players getting occasionally trapped in terrain or specific enemy projectile oddities. Additionally, animations can appear choppy, detracting from the visual quality and fluidity of the game.
- Unresolved Motion Sickness Triggers (weight 0.02): Despite players disabling all typical settings that would alleviate motion sickness, the issue persists. This indicates a deeper problem with the game's camera, movement, or visual effects that causes discomfort for sensitive players.

Recommendations:
- Enjoyable for CoD Zombies fans. (weight 0.72): Many players strongly recommend the game, especially if you are a fan of classic Call of Duty Zombies, praising it as a good alternative or homage. It's often highlighted as more enjoyable when played with friends and is frequently recommended when on sale.
- Many players refunded/won't recommend. (weight 0.15): A significant number of players expressed strong negative sentiment, refunding the game or advising others not to buy it. This often stems from a lack of polish, unaddressed crashing issues, or a general feeling that the game is not worth the current asking price.
- Black Ops 3 is a better alternative. (weight 0.08): Several players strongly suggest that Black Ops 3, particularly its custom zombies maps, offers a superior and more polished experience. They often advise against comparing this game to classic CoD Zombies or playing BO3 instead for better gunplay and more content.
- Purchase recommended on sale. (weight 0.08): A consistent point across reviews is that the game is best purchased at a discount. Many reviewers feel it offers good value only when on sale, suggesting it might not be worth the full price.
- Needs polish, bug fixes, and balancing. (weight 0.08): Players note that the game currently lacks polish, particularly in solo play, and can be frustrating due to various issues. There are calls for developers to address networking problems, fix freezes, and implement a balancing pass, suggesting the game needs more development time.
- Potential for motion sickness. (weight 0.03): One specific piece of feedback highlights that the game might not be suitable for players prone to motion sickness or those who easily get lost. This is an important accessibility point for a niche group of players.
- Play 'Maid of Sker' for lore. (weight 0.02): Some players recommend experiencing the prequel, 'Maid of Sker,' first to fully appreciate the game's story and lore connections. This is for players who care about narrative depth.

Other player notes:
- More content and mod support needed (weight 0.2): Players consistently request significant content additions, including new maps, weapons, game modes, and perks. Crucially, there's a strong desire for community-driven content via mod support or a Steam Workshop to enhance longevity and player engagement.
- High potential, needs polish (weight 0.17): Many players acknowledge the game's significant potential despite its current state, often describing it as mediocre or 'janky.' They believe that with continued updates, bug fixes, and refinements, the game could become a truly engaging and polished experience.
- Strong CoD Zombies inspiration (weight 0.11): A predominant theme is the game's clear inspiration from Call of Duty Zombies, often labeled as a 'budget' or 'standalone' competitor. This comparison sets player expectations and suggests a path for further development by leveraging familiar round-based mechanics.
- Mixed views on price and value (weight 0.08): While many players purchased the game at a significantly discounted price, appreciating its value at that cost, others find its current full price too high for the amount of content and polish offered. A lower price point is suggested to potentially broaden the player base.
- Multiplayer fun depends on social play (weight 0.08): The game is seen as much more enjoyable when played with friends, with solo play diminishing the experience. Concerns exist about a potentially small or inactive public player base, which makes finding online matches difficult without a pre-made group.
- Lovecraftian lore, story secondary (weight 0.04): The game is recognized for its Lovecraftian themes and connection to the 'Maid of Sker' universe. However, players generally consider the overarching story and lore as secondary to the core gameplay experience, prioritizing mechanics and content.
- Developed by small indie team (weight 0.03): Players acknowledge that the game is a product of a small independent development team. This understanding often tempers expectations regarding scale, production values, and initial polish compared to larger AAA titles.
- Refine specific gameplay mechanics (weight 0.03): Players suggest quality-of-life improvements such as in-game weapon previews, adjustments to weapon FOV/model size, and rebalancing weapon upgrade costs. These tweaks aim to enhance the user experience and progression system.
- Consider platform expansion (weight 0.03): Suggestions were made to increase the game's visibility and player base through wider platform availability, such as including it on Game Pass or Nvidia GeforceNOW. The game is also noted to be playable on Steam Deck.
